@bikidas2060 Where do you live? I have only found a decent bicycle repairshop. My experience with car repairing, washing machine, TV, mixer grinder, and of course, cellphones has been far less than satisfactory. In a couple of those cases, I resisted the urge to call the repairmen "cheats".

I really admire manufacturers and people of the previous generation. Their TVs, washing machines easily lasted 10-20 years and repairs were often 10-33% of the cost at most.

It is absolutely okay to repair household appliances and electronics. My personal experience has been spectacular so far. Repair shop people are very honest here. If it is an ultra minute thing such as cleaning 3.5mm jack with cotton buds n thinner, they will do it for free or 10/20 rupees.

It depends on the device type (like TV/mobile etc)/its age/what warranty you are getting, say if you have a 43inch LED TV and if they say board/screen (e.g.) issue and would cost above 7k and don't give any warranty then better to add another 8-9k and get a new one..

these days everything is produced with more importance on quantity and not quality and (my opinion) don't spend too much on electronics when you have the basic available model fulfilling your requirements and spend without any comprise on food and medicines as even if you buy the best of these we are not sure what end results it will give 😄

e.g. 10yrs ago even for 25k mobile you won't have Auto brightness, full-hd (forget amoled) etc but once you have the chinese mass producing them you can get these specs for 10-12k now, yeah you will get better quality in Samsung S series/iphones but they are 7-9x more in price but main point to check is "is my requirements getting fulfilled"

similarly, 6-7yrs ago you need to rely on Samsung/LG/Sony for TVs and 55inch basic QLED from Samsung was around 1.5L but now you can get it under 30k from second-level brands, assuming worst case scenario if your TV becomes dead in 2yrs its only 30k (15k per year) whereas Samsung ones start above 65k now..

Repair until utility.

many repairmen these days don't want to work/stress over the damaged part even if its repairable, they just want to sell a cheap replacement and be done with it(easy money)/ they neither care about their reputation with the customers/ nor the relationship.

rarely I have encountered honest ones and salute to those guys.
