friends i started neft of 1.80lac from my sbi account to my friend account in idfc. i was returning back his money but 2 ghante se jyada ho gaye amount not credit in his account. bank branch tells me to start online complaint as it was done online without branch intereference. what will happen to the money now

If it is not credited today, will be refunded tomorrow.!
BTW, you should have used IMPS – that will be instant credited.
Most probably it will be processed by Early morning tomorrow. It usually happens with PSU banks.
Nowadays Neft , RTGS or IMPS all work around 24*7. Check after 90 minutes. No need to worry. IDFC server has technical glitch right now
mtlab yeh last name mention nahi karne karna nahi huya? neft was done at 2pm
sorry i just checked, account details are correct but I only mentioned his first name instead of last name. BRnach said due to this mistake amount can take 7 days to credit back after a request is raised 
sir is imps not for amount less than 1 lakh??
Upto 2L can be sent via IMPS…
choose IMPS where you have chosen NEFT, you will get the details..
Same thing had happened with me ,transferring from axis to Idfc, I had called Idfc bank call centre and gave them neft ref no, they checked it and told it would be credited before 12 and around 11.55 pm it got credited. I suggest you do the same and call IDFC if they can see the transaction been made
sir on which number can i call? will they credit on my call or my if my friend call them?
Hmm thanks for posting this. I knew payee name was important (pretty obvious anyway) but now I what may happen when someone enters it wrong/ partially. But as you entered correct account no. and ifsc nothing to worry anyway.

wait for 24 hrs maximum either it will show in your friends account or else amount will be auto reversed. Do not worry at all your amount is safe, unless you have input wrong account details.
