New Airtel SIM card is already registered on someone's else name

Hello All,
One month ago my dad bought an Airtel sim card from Airtel gallery. Yesterday, while setting up account on Airtel Thanks I found that the account is already created on someone named “Rituraj Saroha” I didn’t paid attention that time. But, today when I used this number to create account on Zomato
I found that even there it already has an account in the name of the same person and also one order has been placed from that account in the January.
I have asked Airtel to contact me since I am not able to connect with their customer support team. What should we do next?

do these teleco ops not change the name in their database if same number is alloted to other person

You got someone else’s closed number. No solution. You can throw it and buy another is the only solution. 
Will using this card for normal usage have any side effects? Airtel has contacted me but that call was from postpaid team, they said they would arrange a callback from prepaid team. They have just noted down the details for now. I made account in Paytm Payments Bank will this number will closing this number have any effect on it?
Also, what does it means If the number is appearing on someone else name? Is that person using the same number too? We got this number from Airtel gallery in our town.
No bro, most probably that other guy surrendered this number sometime back and it was re-allotted to you.
Most likely, he wont be having access to this number now, but you will lose the new user benefits of various sites if he has used them already

How to update my Airtel Sim register name
Airtel is having most pathetic systems ..
I had Airtel Number way back in year 2006-2008 .
in year 2012 it was assigned to some other guy…and I kept on getting bills on my email address. ……
Took like 3 years to stop this shit. ..in this time I have emailed Airtel N times and SMS the guy couple of times to update his email
Same problem. My airtel number is registered in someone else's name. The sim was boight way back in 2007. Still they have not updated the details
These days only for new postpaid customers get new unused numbers from airtel. Prepaid customers get recycled numbers

Seems this no. got closed recently, Mine Airtel Broadband was also showing someone;s else name in initial period.
