New Smartphone Purchase dilemma (need suggestion/help/opinion)

Before going forward here's what I'm using and what i think and how will i sued jew device in bref:

Using 2019 device powered by snapdragon 855 (xiaomi k20 pro)

MIUI Skin didn't liked initially then got used to then got bored and now intolerable, too heavy for multi tasker and quick mover (delays are significant in sms and notifications).

New device: Which will be daily driver, can't backup too frequently, stability with usability in regards nfc and virtual cards support (samsung wallet) or gpay or anything similar, though nfc isn't used that much but still it's on preference list, can't afford data loss (as bbk devices are prone to).

Been a fan of Samsung since S2 era
*Call recording is must have, without notification*
Preferences in order (PRICE anything below 95k, preferably 30k to 40k)
  1. Chipset anything better than 855 (personally want 8gen2 > 8+gen1 > anything even mtk).
  2. Storage 256gb (512 would be good considering price gap).
  3. Screen bright enough for outdoor 120Hz with auto switch rate (Atleast).(NOT A FAN OF CURVED DISPLAY)
  4. Battery and charging speed anything equal to or greater than 4500mah and 45w.
  5. OS/skin: OneUi > Moto MyUx > Stock > Anything (will debloat if necessary).
  6. Camera: Don't want top-notch but a respectable cam setup with ultra wide angle (acceptable quality), mainly rear setup should be good.
  7. NFC (non negotiable)
  8. Storage ufs 3.1 atleast
  9. Network carrier aggregation interband down 2CA (atleast) and enough 5G bands must include 28a and 28b (jio).
  10. Haptics (anything)

Sometimes i think to drop many of preferences and go with basic ones and cut the price by fraction of the top tier device, but then question on it's survival for atleast 5+ years.

SD 855 still a power house processor, enough  for smooth multitasking. Reason for slowdown of your phone is both buggy unoptimized software updates & ending life of UFS storage. You may try to get your phone firmware downgraded or UFS & RAM change. I can also able to replace ufs & RAM. I am a mobile & Laptop technician.

15k moto to s23ultra (except s24u)

So 15k to 95k

Appreciate the lower price options.
Sweet spot 30k to 35k

SD855 would still perform admirably in AOSP-based custom ROMs based on personal experience with it's predecessor.

SD 8s G3 or it's slightly cut down variant 7+ G3 (not 7 G3 although it's a decent SoC as well but not flagship grade) will be performant for many years (not well optimised ROMs/updates aside). Devices equipped with the above should start popping up soon. Not necessary to go for SD 8 G3/G2 unless heavy gaming is a priority.

Great, but will avoid custom/root things because have to carry secondary device for that purpose, this primary device is going to used for banking/personal/office stuff, reliability and quick performance criteria to hold.

Agree that 8gen isn't necessary. Should i wait because new launches has just started.

If you suggest, should i wait till bbd to grab s23u or anything between preferred criteria or just go with new launches by mid year?

Moto is really doing well, but I'm not sure it's survival for longer periods more than 2-3 years.

Look for Samsung device between 30K to 40K. The OneUI would be a great switch from MIUI with frequent updates.

MIUI is very boring but it used to be so good especially with devices like Mi4. The robust aluminium build with fluid software and in hand feel with awesome cams, everything was perfect compared to competition. It was just 149 GM's and offered much richer experience.

poco x6 pro 512gb

Poco but reliability?

It will be primary device, including office and financial access, which could turn into nightmare if anything goes off suddenly. I'm not brave enought to bet on poco in this case.

Appropriate your suggestion and value for money but poco has lost it's trust among masses.

Actually can't take that much risk due to data loss > price for new phone.

Btw you're doing fantastic job, I'm interested to know that it is possible or just hit or miss and what's cost.

Anything else you wanted to elaborate, because it sounds crazy and diy enthusiast has awakening inside me.

Very much interested but their icon, i find it really boring.

Recently i came know they allowed custom icon but really don't have idea, how that would be implemented.

On Hardware part, it's susper strong. Been on list but looking oneui else others.

Smooth experience

Already tight on budget can't stretch more, looking s23u that too in lower prices compared to current lowest prices available for new device.

Is there any possibility if i buy s24u then sell somewhere in time frame at Equilibrium price minus depreciation.

Any guesses or calculations?

if budget under 20k & need fastest processor then which mobile is best ?

Benevolent Benevolent
Link Copied

Poco F5 if it ever comes back on sale for ~20k.

Even faster SD 7+ G3 (slightly cut down variant of 8s G3) are expected to launch soon. So maybe in BBD less than 25k.

SD 7 G3 is OK but it's more like the updated ARM v9 counterpart of the SD778G and doesn't bring a significantly higher improvement in CPU performance.

UPDATE 03-05-2024: Ordered OnePlus nord 3 128gb (twice) and cancelled both times, and as time passes I'm more inclined to purchase a mid ranger than a flagship because after putting that much money I'll just have camera and build quality edge, still there's chances but waiting till BBD 2024 because till then we'll have multiple options from 2024 itself, everyday launching new devices.

Keep your suggestions posted here, and yes Nord 3 had really bad reviews else it was available at 20.5k.

pray
