Feeling sorry for them. In a world where people choose to not to have child, why people need to be become depressed. Find out why they are depressed. Family pressure? Peer pressure? Anything else? Find out why they want to have kids and then move in the direction.
There are two issues here. Depression and giving birth to a child. One should not get depressed for not having a child.
There are plenty of natural ways to conceive, if one wants to have a child. Have a look at the literature from allopathy doctors who have a strong conviction on prolonged fasting.

They may consider this scenario in their life as God's blessing and plan to adopt 1 or 2 babies from Orphanages as per their financial status. This act would not only bless those babies with Loving Mom and Dad. But also contributes to the overall Unselfishness in this world 🌍

having a child or not is personal preference but not able to have one is not the end of life many modern couples would choose a pet over a child for many practical reasons. when i look at this generations teens even i am skeptical if i wanna have a child. plus the cost of raising a child has increased alot in recent years. and when i think strictly practical and financial aspect i would be better off investing that much amount.
people may tell you that your child is the one who will support you in your old age but i am skeptical about that too. if i invest i might be able to afford better healthcare instead.
not being insensitive towards this couples pain but i would ask them to look at other aspects of life with a cheerful outlook.
