Nova Launcher is acquired by analytics company

Recently came across that nova launcher is sold to analytics company which is known for collecting and selling data. just thought of informing. may be people already know about it. so it's better try avoid the nova.
if you google you will come across diff threads.

yes but then again , you will have to use another app to restrict internet. some phones got that built in feature but most phones doesnt have it. theres app which controls internet access but it will run in background all time. which will use battery.

even if you dont update, nova has permission to access your phone and data. even when it was with nova only. but now that parent company is changed. they can sell the data they collect. plus nove 8 is in beta. 7 is with nova which is current I believe.
nova has permissions. only diff is here is nova used that data for devpurpose , now this new analytical company which is known for selling data. I'd suggest avoid nova.
