NPS Account Opening Signature Upload

I was trying to open an NPS account today through the NSDL website. During the signature file upload section, My picture was fetched from Aadhaar and the signature has to be scanned and uploaded. The picture I took was jpg file and only under 300KB but I get this format error. Then saw somewhere that file size should be between 4 to 12 KB and uploaded an 11 KB file and still the same issue. But at the bottom, it says file format is jpg and file size should between 4 KB and 5 MB. Is there any condition for photo size like 120×120 etc.,?

Error “Document Uploaded () are not in Proper File Format please reupload the same

Can anyone help?

Oh ok sorry not sure what could be the issue. One thing I noticed is it says documents uploaded which is similar in name to the previous tab. If you don’t mind, maybe check if anything there is causing any issue ?

Yes checked that also. It’s for scanned pan and cancelled cheque. Both uploaded successfully and they gave a download option to check which is fine. Thanks for looking into this bro plus1

Pension after 60. Almost equal to market returns as it invests primarily in equity.

Do you have the required dimension size? @Random123

Or the dimension size of the image you uploaded?

Sorry I don’t have documents uploaded during onboarding process. I will see if I can get from nps website. I think going forward should keep track of them like @Seinfeld

Also have you already tried reaching out to NPS team ?

Yes, sent them an email. Awaiting response but I don’t think they will understand my issue and they will simply tell me to upload in jpg format so no hope there.

Keep a simple file name e.g. photo.jpg, sign.jpg and upload.

Citizen of India is the eligibility. After 60, you have to invest 40% of the corpus in any of the annuity plans. Rest 60% is paid as lumpsum.

As u are thinking for your Future, just wanted to know whether you have opted for APY [Atal pension yojna] or NOT?

P.S.  It’s available to Indian citizens and Age should be between 18 to 40 years.

I am only doing it to get 50k additional deduction bro and this NPS gives market returns. Already doing SSY so that’s enough for fixed returns category

Deduction is also available for APY & it’s monthly contribution is very low.

Do check the following website : Features (kotak.com)

I think at present it’s 1 of the best scheme by government.

NPS gives additional 50k bro but APY gives deduction under basic limit 1.5l which I already utilise for elss and ssy. Or am I wrong about apy?
