Yesterday created NPS Tier 1 account through ICICI net banking and selected Equity -75%, Corporate bonds -15% and Govt Bonds 10%. Selected fund manager as HDFC. PRAN number generated immediately.

When do i get the password?

Want to invest 50 yearly to save 10k tax. Can i deposit money in NPS with my icici bank debit card?

I’m i done everything properly? any suggestions are much appreciated.

Try resetting password at https://cra-nsdl.co...A/

Yes, a debit card is fine for contribution.

You will receive a kit with PRAN card and login password within 10 days. I think contribution can be made without logging in with username and password.

Just go to eNPS website, enter PRAN number, date of birth and you can contribute with upi/net banking/any debit card without any charges.

However its wise to wait for share market to be at a lower level before making contribution, to get max benefit from your investment

Thanks for the suggestion. Markets are going up day by day. Really waiting for the correction. Don’t know when it going to happen.

Is it good choice Equity -75%, Corporate bonds -15% and Govt Bonds 10%. Selected fund manager as HDFC

Please suggest

Yes. If your time horizon is more than 10-15 years, you can continue with the same allocation. I have the exact same allocation and fund manager. 🙂
