One of my relative.. got notice from HDFC bank about Bank locker Rent overdue charges of Rs.50000 for last 10 years..
What should be done in this scenario..if we don't want locker and there is nothing inside locker..

They forgot the bank account and bank locker..and balance of account is zero too
deny to pay, they can't do anything
if you have a bank account then empty it and ghost them
They forgot the bank account and bank locker..and balance of account is zero too from last 10 year it might be a dormant or inactive account
You should return locker key 🔐. Otherwise you need to pay locker broke charges too ... as per locker rent agreement.
If you think you can forget the HDFC name for life time, simply ignore so that the due amount will go up and they keep sending the letters.
If you want to use HDFC in future, they will ask you to pay before using their service.

Haha. Don't want locker, nothing in locker.. then why maintained locker all these years ? Also did bank do any lein FD when alloting locker ? How has the HDFC not sent u intimation just after 1 year of rent overdue?
