Anyone faced similar issue? In which newspapers I need to publish..I enquired one local newspaper and they said ₹1500

No need for only English Hindi.. if its average circulation is in couple of thousands.
By the way, this name (typographical) error nuisance is a major one. So hopefully you have this only here and not in your other documents.
Do check if you simply claim 'passport lost' and then apply for a new one.. then will it be a different process.
Even if that works one still has to register the case with police and they have to give a closure report or at-least a NOC.

what is your location, check some local newspaper with some circulation like someone else mentioned.
what is the name in Aadhar card? try matching that.
I am from odisha..my father name is there only in pan and passport and not in aadhar
So one ad in local newspaper and other one in any English newspaper or national one like TOI, the Hindu ?
Daud ke aage kya.. name to sahi dena tha official documents me.. ab sare jagah probelm hoga.. pura start se fix karna padega..
Mere bhi name 4 words ne tha.. singh ko chhodna pada.. pahle log naam kuchh bhi rakh dete the.. online ka pata nahi tha.. new generation me wapas add kar diye singh..xd
trying to correct father's name in passport? Doud to Daud?
I renewed in Jan'24 and did not notice that my passport had only father's first name but in application I filled as usual firstName+LastName. Passport officer said parents name should be as per old passport only, I said Ok and online application details changed by them in 1 min.
Sometimes i feel like the name is fed wrong in documents, on purpose. Once my document application had correct details, but the document issued had wrong details. Official put the wrong details, and turns out i had to apply to put the correct detail by paying fees.
I applied last month in my local psk, but ,2 days ago again received an objection notice, so need to visit bhubaneswar office... Now the problem is my family members threw the newspapers, while visiting will they accept epapers? 
At most one can check the feasibility of having the print of that classified taken and submit it as an attested copy or something.
Also, for records, all publishers of this nature.. keep archival copies of ALL editions of all magazines, periodically or newspapers they print.
Not that I want to opine on others whom I do not know and who do not really directly impact my life or those of my near dear ones..
but if this is the rollercoster for a passport application.. then it seems you (your folks) have a rather callous disposition towards things (even the important ones).
Keeping the (newspaper) clippings and other relevant things properly filed does not take that much of an effort or resources.
Anyway, everyone is different, I accept.
It would be unlikely for me to not notice as major a discrepancy as name mismatch across documents PRIOR to applying for a passport.
Any news paper which is cheaper. No matter they are famous or not. Check with newspaper seller and ask which is less famous and contact them .
