On regular usage, they will automatically upgrade.
I was using Paytm postpaid as my 1st preference before starting credit card journey. In those days Paytm dint applied any charges. When they started charging already i was moved to Delite variant.

Bro If Your Paytm Postpaid limit Is 3000. And U Used 2000 In That Month. When Bill Generate Rs.2000 So U Need To Pay That Bill With 2% Fee. 2000 + 40 Convenience Fee=2040. Bill Generates On 1st Of Every Month And U Have To Pay That Till 7 Th Of That Month.
