The paytm app version that I can see on playstore  is 10.19.0.

So most probably you are using a phone with outdated android version and. Paytm stooped updating the app for tat version..

There is nothing you can do except trying to root your phone and install custom android rom if supported.

Try to get an updated apk from trusted sources or your friends and try to install that..

Also do not get apk from random websites from Google search.

Bro In Playstore 10.19.0 Version Is There... Some Private App Stores Have Auto Update Feature For Example Mi Phones Have GetApps...  Diable It As These Apps Might Over Ride Existing Version, Now Uninstall Paytm And Manually Download It From PlayStore Again

Then it's not possible. Paytm App has removed its support for all old Android versions before 7

Is Amazon app working in your phone?

Switching to a custom AOSP/CAF based ROM if available is the best course of action. One of my earliest devices launched with Android 6, didn't receive a single Android OS update from the manufacturer but thanks to the work of a dedicated team of developers over the years now runs stable Android 13 ROMs.

Redmi 3s. No use in posting links as ROMs are device specific. You can check XDA forums or more recently Telegram channels (the former is to be preferred as the source code is made available to the public) .  Custom ROMs are rare for devices from most manufacturers like Oppo/Vivo etc , sporadic in case of Samsung and most common in case of Google, Oneplus and Xiaomi with Moto falling somewhere in between.

Well I feel your pain buddy. It sucks when some app pulls support for older Android version. Recently, SBI YONO stopped running on all Androids except 9.0 and Bank of India (BOI Mobile) went full retard by only supporting Android 10 and later. 🤣

Thankfully old version of BOI Mobile works still. SBI is a jerk, they won't allow older YONO versions on older Androids either. They update the app and then block you completely forcing you to buy a new phone or use YONO Lite or Net banking. I am glad I moved away from Shit Bank of India. They believe they are too big to fail - they should leave it to the customer - whether he's willing to take a risk running the app on an unpatched Android phone instead of playing God.

PNB's Genie Credit card app for example does this. It checks if your phone has older unpatched/non-updated Android but asks with a simple Yes/No whether you want to continue and understand the risks. If you tap Yes, you can use it. They aren't jerks yet like SBI.🖕🏼

Is there any way .this companies and sellers want customers to dance for them to use there service or to buy from them. Basanti ko inn kutto ke samne nachna padta hain . Phones so much costly and they want customer to buy new version mobiles every 2 - 3 years. Jabardasti kar rahe hain , .

Looks Like It's Time To Upgrade Mobile With Android 10 And Above... Lower Android Versions Have Many Loop Holes To Gain Access To Anything If We Open Pishing Sites Or Unknown Apk Files Or Unknown Wifi Networks Or Charging Juice Hack Or Any Other....  Not Everyone In India Is Educated About Cyber Risks.

Thanx. It's working smoothly

In Google Play, go to BOI Mobile app's page and tap the 3 dots button in the top right. Uncheck "Auto update" for this app so it won't automatically update to the broken new version that refuses to run.

No SBI YONO is extra cruel, extra stupid and extra evil in preventing older YONO app version from running as well as forced update to new app to continue using it. So they have locked everyone out not running Android 9 or later on their phone. If the list of apps requiring newer Androids gets too big (Pretty soon Paytm, Amazon can require Android 9), I will flash a custom Android 11 ROM for my Lenovo phone. Thank heavens for Project Treble due to which it is at least possible. Just for one stupid YONO app, currently it's not worth it. Phir bhi phone change to tabhi karunga jab main chahta hoon and when I find a handset with specs and features at a price I like, not when SBI wants me to. It's not like my current phone is decades old, I got it in early 2019 and unfortunately (or fortunately? 😂) Lenovo issued no updates for it.

For YONO, you can use YONO Lite for now for big netbanking transfer, debit card or any UPI app of course. But shopping using discount from YONO or applying for SBI CC from YONO will be unavailable due to this boneheaded move.

I don't remember facing this issue. Check if the Island app itself has been granted all necessary permissions as otherwise the apps in Work Profile can't get get them either.
