Porting postpaid mobile to prepaid

Need to port out a postpaid airtel connection to jio prepaid, as far as I know, if you clear the last bill generated, it should allow porting, right? Bill was generated about 2 days ago...

Any other tips or issues from your experiences?

Postpaid to prepaid conversion doesn't happen most of the times. Raise a port request. CC will call. Ask them to convert to Airtel prepaid. After a week raise porting request again to Jio.

Naah you have to wait 90days again after prepaid conversion.

I am not exactly sure, just want to help you out.

You should have your last bill paid out. You should pay extra on pro rata basis. Like in jio postpaid, they show charges since last bill paid as “post bill charges”. Pay out a bit extra so that it includes next 5-7 days as well.

High chances you should be able to see similar on my airtel app. Or CS should be able to tell you this exact amount.

Cannot pay airtel postpaid bill unless generated, and no custom amount can be paid via common recharge platforms...

I'm planning to port secondary airtel sim to Jio since I'm fed up recharging my sim  every 90 days to keep it active...
