Recently paid a person 1000 rs via UPI.
But the person denied providing the service.
Raised chargeback from idfc netbanking itself, no call, no email.
Today the person contacted me and said his bank has given him two options.
Either pay directly and tell me to withdraw the case or let the bank transfer back the amount.
All this within 3 days of registering complaint.

Where is the option to raise chargeback in idfc netbanking?
In recent transactions there's an option 'raise dispute' under every transaction,when you expand the transaction by clicking.
Strangely that does not show up in firefox.
But in chrome that's visible.

Yes upi chargeback is possible.but in fraud cases the fraudster immediately takes out the money. And they use other's accounts.
In my case the opposite party was not scammer, he is a normal person who denied service after paying him.
I think every bank should have this option under every transaction.
This makes raising disputes super easy.
Did idfc asked for any proof for service denial?
Nothing was asked.
And which app you used for payment.. idfc app or some other app?
IDFC app itself.
Once my relative made transaction from my HDFC credit card abroad, and found other person was fraud, he filed police complain there, shared whatsapp and other communications with me along with complain copy, i disputed transaction and hdfc bank reversed transaction within couple of days, did this for first time and was surprised by such quick response

What happens if that person ignore those options..?
His account freezed/Hold by his bank..?
the amount will be marked as lien.

I also mentioned, main problem is most bank staff dnt know about UPI chargeback feature.
UPI is new and it takes few years time to educate all bank staffs.
10 years back, bank staff dnt know about card dispute feature. Infact forget about UPI dispute, some public sector bank staffs still dnt know about card dispute feature.
