Ducks Quack, Eagles Soar
I was waiting in line for a ride at the airport. When a cab pulled up, the first thing I noticed was that the taxi was polished to a bright shine. Smartly dressed in a white shirt, black tie, and freshly pressed black slacks, the cab driver jumped out and rounded the car to open the back passenger door for me.
He handed me a laminated card and said: ’I’m Wasu, your driver. While I’m loading your bags in the trunk I’d like you to read my mission statement.’
Taken aback, I read the card. It said: Wasu’s Mission Statement:
To get my customers to their destination in the quickest, safest and cheapest way possible in a friendly environment.
This blew me away. Especially when I noticed that the inside of the cab matched the outside. Spotlessly clean!
As he slid behind the wheel, Wasu said, ‘Would you like a cup of coffee? I have a thermos of regular and one of decaf.’
I said jokingly, ‘No, I’d prefer a soft drink.’
Wasu smiled and said, ‘No problem. I have a cooler up front with regular and Diet Coke, lassi, water and orange juice.’
Almost stuttering, I said, ’I’ll take a Lassi.’
Handing me my drink, Wasu said, ‘If you’d like something to read, I have The Hindu, Times of India, ET and India Today.’
As they were pulling away, Wasu handed me another laminated card, ‘These are the stations I get and the music they play, if you’d like to listen to the radio.’
And as if that weren’t enough, Wasu told me that he had the air conditioning on and asked if the temperature was comfortable for him.
Then he advised me of the best route to my destination for that time of day. He also let me know that he’d be happy to chat and tell me about some of the sights or, if I preferred, to leave me with my own thoughts.
‘Tell me, Wasu,’ I was amazed and asked him, ‘have you always served customers like this?’
Wasu smiled into the rear view mirror. ‘No, not always. In fact, it’s only been in the last two years. My first five years driving, I spent most of my time complaining like all the rest of the cabbies do. Then I heard about power of choice one day.’
‘Power of choice is that you can be a duck or an eagle.’
‘If you get up in the morning expecting to have a bad day, you’ll rarely disappoint yourself. Stop complaining!’
’Don’t be a duck. Be an eagle. Ducks quack and complain. Eagles soar above the crowd.’
‘That hit me right,’ said Wasu.
‘It is about me. I was always quacking and complaining, so I decided to change my attitude and become an eagle. I looked around at the other cabs and their drivers. The cabs were dirty, the drivers were
unfriendly, and the customers were unhappy. So I decided to make some changes. I put in a few at a time. When my customers responded well, I did more.’
‘I take it that has paid off for you,’ I said.
‘It sure has,’ Wasu replied. ‘My first year as an eagle, I doubled my income from the previous year. This year I’ll probably quadruple it. My customers call me for appointments on my cell phone or leave a message on it.’
Wasu made a different choice. He decided to stop quacking like ducks and start soaring like eagles.

Escaping the Monster
The voices in your head are just that, ‘voices’ following you and your breath, frankly making you seem a bit crazy to those free of the addiction to your illusion. Just as there are physical pathogens like bacteria, viruses, and parasites, so are there nonphysical pathogens in the form of etheric parasites, discarnate humans, aliens and demonic beings that can attach themselves to a living person, drain their energy and influence their thoughts, feelings, and personality.
So ok, are you attaching monsters to every breath you take? Negative thought forms are real if you see them as real, and then they become the ‘monster’ taking over your being ‘free of outside’ beliefs. Everyday you feel insecure with out the thought forms that have become what you think is you.
What becomes your ‘monster’ to keep you tethered to non reality except for your imagination. One of those ‘monsters’ is really a ‘savior’ in the beginning for the sick or those looking for an answer to calm or assuage their fears of that they are the monster that wonders why they are here and strangely, why they may at anytime be ‘nowhere’. Religion can grow into a monster that gives lullabies to the mind of the fearful. Religion is a ‘walk-in’ for being ‘saved’ instantly in place of not knowing who you really are and not in a deep self love.
Humans seek to cling to truth but stumble upon beliefs that allow them to not have to look at their inner energy fear mongering’s that are somewhat void of the love that they deserve but continue missing. Most problems are imagined, and those include fears. Fear is a trap, and traps are contrary to your ability to allow freedoms. The trap is in the brain, once it is verified through imagination, a monster has been created!
What is a good thing, like religion, can become metastasized like a cancer throughout the brain, while the meanings become spun in the mind so as to make the person into a victim of words that were never meant to be anything but to point to the direction to go in. That direction is to be free, love yourself and then others, do good deeds, be discerning, compassionate, aware, stay in reality and know what that is, on and on.
Now that millions have made religion into their personal monster, it seems to have alienated millions of others into believing they have seen aliens from space. Both have created a monster of illusion in their ‘fearful minds’. Of course, alcohol, pot, and certain drugs also can become a monster. What you think you have seen, be it a Jesus or someone from outer space is subjectively real if you choose to make them a ‘belief’ in your head. That belief becomes the monster! Let go, and that may take meditations that open up the flow of love that dissolves the monsters in your head.

Here’s the inspiring letter, from her father, that Deepika Padukone read at the 61st Filmfare Awards:
Dear Deepika & Anisha,
As you stand on the threshold of life’s journey, I want to share with you some lessons that life has taught me. Decades ago, as a little boy growing up in Bangalore, I started my tryst with badminton. In those days, there were no stadiums and courts where sports people could train. Our badminton court was the wedding hall of the Canara Union Bank near our house, and it was there that I learned everything about the game. Every day, we would wait to see if there was a function in the hall, and if there was none, we would rush there after school to play to our hearts’ content. Looking back, I realise that the most important thing about my childhood and adolescent years was my refusal to complain about a lot in life. I was thankful for the few hours a week we had the opportunity to hit the shuttle back and forth. In fact, the foundation on which I based my career and my life was the refusal to whinge or whine about anything. And that is what I want to tell you my children, that there is no substitute for perseverance, hardwork, determination and passion for what you choose to do. If you love what you do, nothing else matters — neither awards nor compensation, not even the gratification of seeing your face in newspapers or television. When I won the All England Championship, the prize money in badminton became significant — £3,000 — a huge amount in those days. But that did not distract me from the sheer joy of having been instrumental in putting India on the global map of this game. Deepika, at eighteen, when you told us that you wanted to shift to Mumbai for a career in modeling, we felt you were too young and too inexperienced to be alone in a big city and in an industry we knew nothing about. In the end, we decided to let you follow your heart and thought it would be cruel to not give our child the opportunity to go after a dream that she lived and breathed for. If you succeeded, it would make us proud, but even if you didn’t, you would not have any regrets that you did not try. Deepika, I have learned that you can’t always win in life, that everything you want might not come your way. That events don’t always turn out as you want them to. To win some, you have to lose some. You have to learn to take life’s ups and downs in your stride. The amount of effort that I put in my game never varied from the first day till my retirement. Even during my toughest times, I focused on what I had, instead of dwelling on what I did not. I had the ability to make the best of the worst circumstances and remain steadfast to my goal. Remember how I constantly tell you both about the importance of making your way up in the world without waiting for your parents to pull strings? I believe it is best for children to work hard to make their dreams come true and to not have things handed to them on a platter. When you are home visiting us, Deepika, you make your own bed, clear the table after meals, and sleep on the floor if there are guests at home. If you occasionally wonder why we refuse to treat you like a star, it is because you are our daughter first and a film star later. The cameras that follow you everywhere and the arc lights will eventually fade and what will remain is the real world. Strive to generate positivity around you even though you are too new and too small a player to effect a big change. You are in an industry where there’s always going to be big money, but I believe that it is important to try to be the best in whatever you do regardless of the money. The things that really matter in life are relationships, honesty, respect for your parents and elders. Material success is important, not fundamental to happiness and peace of mind. I can’t tell you enough about the rejuvenating power of prayers and a little faith. Spare a few minutes of your day to close your eyes and meditate, to think about God and you will see how much faith in His power will strengthen you. In the end, when your career is behind you, what remains is family, the friends that you have made. Live a life that is healthy and one that will allow you to live with your own conscience. Everything else is transient. And remember, no matter what, we are always going to be there for you.

It may sound a bit wild and may astound you but you just might begin to see that you are part of everything, and a world you never saw before or have left. That world is the world of love that permeates every aspect of your being through life’s up and downs. Love is always there as the rainbow of hope and blessings.
Why last another day without the feeling of wanting to kiss all the positives that are there even if the flowers are among the weeds of challenges. It’s a well kept secret in plain sight to hook your life on its star. The whole of the universe breaths in a harmony with itself. Why shouldn’t you? Rise and look around you and see natures harmony with itself. Give a kiss to love and wherever it takes you, for it will always come up love waiting for the clear day of your heart! THere are Ups and Downs in life just like high and low tides, Breeze keeps changing their direction sometimes for good and most of the times to kick ss off to teach a lesson (hope u understand now, y i used breeze, tides, shores earlier )
