1. Get a photocopy of DD  in advance  and check at the bank

Is the bank obliged to give information  as above

Apart from the above what other precautions  can be taken to ensure realisation

In the event of non encashment what are the legal options?

I believe registration department will not accept any complaint regarding realisation of sale proceeds

Thanks in advance

Registration department can always help you in case you face any difficulty in receiving payment.

Don't worry.

Also details of DD are carefully mentioned which makes it a transaction. Any transaction done in written at registrar office can't be categorised as null and void.
