Precautions to be taken on a property sale when payment method is demand draft

1. Get a photocopy of DD in advance and check at the bank
Is the bank obliged to give information as above
Apart from the above what other precautions can be taken to ensure realisation
In the event of non encashment what are the legal options?
I believe registration department will not accept any complaint regarding realisation of sale proceeds

Registration department can always help you in case you face any difficulty in receiving payment.
Don't worry.
Also details of DD are carefully mentioned which makes it a transaction. Any transaction done in written at registrar office can't be categorised as null and void.

in regisrtation you will be mentioning the dd details .. adds little bit security .. is dd provided by the bank as part of loan taken by buyer?
