Hi Dimers,
Whenever we make high value transactions like Rs 10000/- or more then automatically a call is triggered to accept the txn , press 1 to confirm.
if the call is accepted and 1 is entered then all good
If for some reason the call is missed ,
As i had missed then all the net banking access and card is blocked and then access is activate by the customer support after confirming personal details. Also since the card is blocked , a new card will be sent.
Just to ensure you don't go thru the hassle please do not miss the call , whenever there is a high value transaction
The call may not come immediately , for may case it cam after 6 hours

it's a random process. Sometimes, I get calls for even UPI transactions too for confirmation.
The card doesn't get permanently blocked, it is a soft block that can be lifted by CC. It has happened to me a few times, all I needed to do was ask them to enable the card again. Once I had to ask them to manually request a verification call again.
Either case, you don't get the call only once, they do try quite a few times.
i have got the call quite few times but never did they block on their own
the ivr mentions to opt to block or continue trx
Don't worry at all. I once mistakenly pressed 9 , and they blocked my card, because 9 was the key for fraud. But it's temp block, which you can easily unblock from app itself.
So, in case if you will even miss the call. Nothing will happen.
Card doesn't get block. I missed so many confirmation calls in higher transactions in hdfc, icici, SBI but they never block my card. Hdfc is way miles ahead in this confirmation calls if you don't accept the call or ignore it the transaction will failed eventually. Already happened 2 times when i was doing the transaction for the first time. Since then, it never happens. Yeah, at night, especially SBI cards, will temporarily block your card because of the rise in fraudulent transaction these days
