Punjab & Sind bank virtual RuPay Platinum debit card - Apply process:

Online open - We can open a zero balance account but I don't know if you will get a option to apply RuPay Platinum DC in that account type. I asked this to several people and didn't get any satisfactory answer and hence, opened at branch.

Offline branch open -

Account Type: Normal Savings Account
MAB: Max 1K (depends on the area)

Don't opt for debit card while filling the form. Once the account is opened apply this virtual card from mobile app/internet banking

Issuance: Free
AMC: 150+GST from 2nd year onwards.

Account opened within 24 hours of the application made

Please note, once the account is opened give a missed call at a number for balance enquiry. If you receive an acknowledgement that means your account have been created successfully

Then call helpline and get your account number and customer ID with the help of last 4 digit of your aadhar#

Then download the mobile app or open internet banking on web and enter the details for registration. You can authenticate yourself either with DC or Bank Token. Since no debit card was opted for at the time of account opening, select bank token and request it

Then go to branch and tell them to approve the request. Once approved you will get an OTP within couple of hours. Use that to continue your registration journey.

If you don't link PAN, I guess you will not be able to use mobile/internet banking
