Query : Flipkart Axis Annual Fee waive off

Hii guys

So I have this query regarding the waive off of annual fee of flipkart axis credit card.

So I have spent 2lac+ something via my card now so I should be eligible for waive off na?

But customer support is saying that new t&c (3.5 Lac for waive off) will get effective from 12th August & your card fee will be charged on 22th August hence you have to spend 3.5Lac for waive off.

I am unable to digest this thing as I have met the criterion before the new t&c came into effect so I should be eligible na.

Can anyone confirm this thing some said we get message for waive off when the criterion is met but I haven't received any.

Please share your thoughts & any way to prevent this charge if it's going to be.

Thanks in advance

No prevention of this charge..as it is increasing the waive off limit before your renewal date..sorry..only way is try to tell cc to close the card.Maybe retention can be provided as your case is genuine ..it depends on cc

Yeah bro I understand that but since I joined with that criterion they should atleast implement this from next cycle given the period is mere a month.

Also the eligibility is checked right on the renewal time isn't it supposed to be checked whenever I have met it be it a day after getting the card.

Raise a card closure request, the retention team will either waive off the annual fee, or offer a lower annual fee waiver limit -> https://www.desidime.com/discussions/further-de...

Actually I am stuck cause today only I did a big transaction which I believe I can't clear for now till the billing or maybe a bit longer.

Is there's any way to check what's their team has to offer like before not clearing this dues? Just to check?

close the card and take some other card, after devaluation, it is not of much use

Actually this is the best card I have (other are one card & SBI BPCL) so I kind of want it unless I get some other better card.

What other cards I can try with good rewards which can be issued easily maybe on c2c etc.

my issue is same. I spent 2L initially and then stopped using card. And now when the renewal date is near, they can not force us to spend more to meet the criteria.

I will ask them to waive off or cancel the card.

Maybe useful for @Ash-D as he doesn’t have any better card in his portfolio.

@Ash-D If your purpose is to get good discounts on flipkart then keep this card. Only if you can get way more discount than the annual charges.
you might want to try out ICICI APay card, it’s LTF and shift your purchases to amazon instead. Fk and Axis both deserve to loose many customers after this devaluation.

If your yearly spends are quite a lot, you might think about  SBI CashBack card. Or if your spends are average go for hdfc millennia cc. Both these cards give 5% on amazon/ fk and many other places. Even having any hdfc DC will let you shop @ 5% discount on amazon or Fk via smartbuy.

My point is if you can do any of these, you can ask for axis FK closure. As per @BlueFlash ’s experience you should get a call from retention team which should make your card another year free. However since Axis has been known to be bad in retention department that’s why it would be wise if you are aware of the alternatives I told before.

From where to check billing cycle year in Axis card? Like August to July or something like that. & Where to check for annual spend till date in billing year?

Benevolent Benevolent

Idk about year bro but I remember my card was issued on 22nd August last year so August should be the year I guess.

You can calculate it manually although better you can all their support and ask for that they will tell you.

So seems this is real got this mail today after I raised query with their mail support

"We wish to apprise you that your credit card number 7969 is chargeable and a joining fee and annual fee is applicable on this credit card variant.

However, the fees may be waived if you undertake a transaction on annual spends of Rs. 2,00,000 but effective from 12th August 2023, the following changes will be applicable on your Axis Bank Flipkart Credit Card:

• Annual fee charged on the card will be waived on annual spends greater than INR 3,50,000.

So as per the bank policy we request you to make the require spends as per the criteria to waive off the annual fees of Rs. 500/- plus 18 GST"

Anyone knows how to get offers or possible refund of Flipkart Axis Card AMC?

They finally charged me yesterday but I am not sure if I raise a closure request is there's any chance they will close the card without offering anything?? Or how it goes if anyone can explain.
