Hello Dimers,
I applied for HDFC Preferred Platinum DEBIT card, but received Mastercard variant by default.
Are there any downsides to having Mastercard version compared to Visa version?
Wanted to understand if I should be closing Mastercard one and apply for Visa instead?

I faced one issue with mastercard varient
I wasn't able to use this card to pay bob cc bill by bob website
I was able to pay by visa varient though

I see. I don't have any BoB CC right now. But it seems like there isn't much to worry about MasterCard variant vis-a-vis Visa variant based on comment by other dimers.

No downside of mastercard in respect of card benefits, such as 1% or num of lounge access.
