E-pan is technically valid. But banks ask for original pan when doing kyc. So,
If your intention is to just get a pan number to use for opening demat accounts etc., go with epan. I got an epan first, I then got it printed(it was a nightmare getting the delivery!). after a few months since the banks needed it.
As I read E-Pan dont have signature. So when we go for physical pan, do we have to upload signature during application.
Although E-Pan is valid for all purposes in banks, ITR, property registration etc, some Institutions like banks might ask you to show your physical pan card so as to avoid fraudulent activities for opening accounts, loan application etc. It is best to have both - e-pan & physical pan card.
Just convert your e-pan to physical pan from this link below and you'll receive it by courier within a week or two at max.
Note there might be a fee that needs to be paid.
After Having E-Pan Card... If U Want Printed Plastic Card U Have To Pay Around 100rs...
maintain both, submit whichever is allowed there, simple.
Banks wont allow that. Simply because you will be submitted printed copy everywhere and with printed copy you cannot confirm the genuineness of the same. Original PAN has a hologram ( or something like that ) Hence it can be trusted. But e-pan cannot be valid if using printed copies, only digitally sent Like- by email or uploading ... will be valid / allowed
