[Query] Understanding HDFC Bank Smartbuy Cashback upon Cancellation

I've booked train tickets through HDFC Bank Smartbuy via HDFC Bank debit card in the past but it's only recently I had to cancel a few of the tickets.
I can see that I've got the expected 5% cashback and since the cashback category it falls in has validity of only 3 months, I redeem the cashback as soon I see since minimum threshold amount is only Re. 1
My query is, does HDFC Bank recover 5% cashback provided from the cashback I'll earn in the future for train tickets I cancelled? Has anyone experienced similar scenario?

He redeemed the promo cashback points credited to DC as soon as he got, most probably he'd see a negative balance which maybe later adjusted from bank account if doesn't turn positive in coming months...

Where do you get cashback in card, or payzapp wallet or as cashpoints?
