Question on linking ICICI PPF account to existing ICICI user id

I and my wife both have separate PPF account. They are single accounts with nomination. Account is with ICICI Bank.
We also have ICICI Saving account but both of our accounts are joint.
Due to them being joint account, we were told that we cannot link our PPF account to existing ICICI Bank user id.
Can anyone tell me if we will be able to link the PPF accounts with ICICI account user ID and view PPF balance and all under same user ID if we made our joint account single with nomination instead?

Do you know any ppf account without saving account and gives net banking access.
Sbi and icici do not give

Yes..2 single acc needed
