Depends on category of products, if product is returnable, flipkart will ask to return the product for refund
Otherwise refund would come directly. But account health would be affected

Guys I had ordered a product x but received product y. Since product y I have received is of high value, can I request flipkart to refund me amount without returning y?
Note: please don't teach me ethics and values, I'm just asking if this is legally possible?

If Product is Non Returnable they will initiate refund.
If Product is Returnable then they will take back product and refund.
It's a phone.. They've accepted the mistake and asking to return..

But if they found out themselves (or even if they now know because you wanted to be smart and informed them) and are asking to return just tell them it was a gift for someone and you don't have access to the product anymore. They might just accept it and move on or they will block IMEI.

I didn't receive the product I ordered so technically why should I pay for it?? Though ethically it's incorrect..
Also I read somewhere that online stores can't force you to return an item without ur permission.. So just asked if it's possible..

So, now I am eligible to keep iPhone and I will ask for a refund also because you never gave me Nokia 1600, also you can't ask back your iPhone because I read somewhere that no one can force you to give something.I didn't receive the product I ordered so technically why should I pay for it?? You shouldn't. As you said, Flipkart acknowledged the error in delivery, and they'll void the order by releasing the refund to the original mode of payment.
Also, I read somewhere that online stores can't force you to return an item without ur permission
I don't know the rulebook, but practically they can't return the high-priced product from the customer in the real world. If you're keeping the order, you agree to settle with it.
😂😂
op which phone u ordered and which u got?
what u are asking is possible in the west, here not sure.
I think OP is in revenge mode than greedy, no dimer is stupid enough to inform FK that higher value mobile rcvd

People here be living in fairy world. They believe in ethics and values, but don't understand what these big e-commerce companies have done with small retailers..
Anyways I'm talking about technical and legal aspect not your fairy worlds

If you decide to keep the product, then e-comm partner got the right to reject refund too?
After-all this is no pizza delivery, u get to keep if/when the delivery person shows up late

That's what I'm asking. Afaik they can't force return the product. And since it's not what I have received I deserve a refund..
But I haven't got any solid answer from anyone except fairy worldssss

Delivery of wrong quantity -
Where the seller delivers to the buyer the goods he contracted to sell mixed with goods of a different description not included in the contract, the buyer may accept the goods which are in accordance with the contract and reject the rest, or may reject the whole.

How about revealing which phone you ordered & which one you got. 😅
YoYoDesiBeat wrote:Yes, you can ask for a refund as you got the wrong product, and you can also keep the wrong product with you. I can suggest more options, after getting a refund you can file a complaint for mental harassment and wasting your time. Take them in court, you can settle in millions if not in billions.
