How to check your Saving account Category Code -
In your Axis Bank app, what is the five letter code under “Category Code” when you do the following
Under “PRODUCTS” click “Accounts” —> where you see “Savings Account”, click on “>” symbol —> where you see “Current Balance” click on “>” symbol —> Category Code.

just an update few Axis branches now a days by default issue RuPay Platinum debit card for saving accounts.
location - Bangalore, dnt know about any other cities.
+1. It will not show for high end variants accounts like prime, liberty, prestige etc.
They are giving rupay only to lowest account type like insta account etc.

Not showing Rupay card for me ….. I have Liberty account.
Shows follwing:
- LIBERTY DEBIT CARD
- ATM CHIP CARD
- ONLINE REWARDS DEBIT CARD
- DELIGHT DEBIT CARD
- VALUE PLUS DEBIT CARD
- WEAR N PAY variants
I am unable to select upgrade option as I already have 2 cards in my account.

is it add on, or old card will be blocked?
it’s not addon card, my old card was blocked and got the option to apply for it, i have contact customer service they said I can’t apply for more card within a month.
For Axis ASAP account there is no rupay option to select.
Fully digital accounts like kotak 811/axis asap/dbs digibank never have rupay card option.

as far as i know, Salary account holders get Free debit cards.
by the way you will get Rs100 off per month on Amazonpay wallet load using RuPay Platinum debit cards.

Mine is SAPPM. I don’t have an option for Rupay Platinum Card. Probably, i need to ask from branch.

2 users got Axis bank RuPay Platinum debit card -
One person open online Salary account and showing visa card but Axis website mentioned he will get RuPay Platinum debit card (that’s why he open Axis bank Salary account), Axis branch and Customer support everywhere told he will receive Visa card but finally Physical card he received RuPay Platinum debit card. 😀
Another user got yesterday Axis RuPay Platinum debit card (Power Salute) -
i got Visa Virtual card in Axis SAPPR accunt but physically recevied rupay platinum
Is there any way to block visa virtual and get rupay platinum card ?
well i dont see any option to block that Visa Virtual card when i select to block Visa card it will show only the rupay one … @vikashpatty
