But I haven't applied for any sbi card since the beginning of the universe.
How on earth would I complain/correct this so not to get any cibil hit unnecessary.
In the application my surname is incorrect, someone leaking details or third some agent is applying?
This is frustrating.
I will search for any thread explaining the steps for correction in the cibil report now.

same happens with me also.. every month i also receive same email from SBI.
No point correcting, the process to prove you didn't actually apply is not easy. And hit on cibil is not that much to cause any issues. It will take months to actually get anywhere with that dispute and by then your score will be back to same if not higher.
Anyway was frustrated that time, so asked if there's any way to prove my innocence. Poor me.
Dear Applicant, we regret to inform you that basis our SBI Cards internal policy, we are unable to issue a credit card to you at this time
Yes something similar, with a pdf attached stating the reason that I don't have any account with them.
try not to share your details with agents
Did U Applied Any Other Credit Card Via Agent , An Agent Might Have Linked With Different Banks , Working On Commission.
Once Upon A Time, My Sbi Card Was Declined, Next Day That Same Agent Who Did Kyc For Sbi , Asking Me To Take RBL Card
For the past couple of months, I have been receiving SMSs (from Indian mobile numbers) claiming to be from SBI: stating my bank account blocked, click this link or something like that.
I do not have an account at SBI.
Most likely spam.
Most likely some third party agent submitted an application with basic details.
But almost all the applications require OTP, which I didn't get.
Got another mail from Axis, its also from genuine domain. Someone is on a roll with my details
