Fellow dimers recently i have received lots of messages from sbi for credit card re-kyc and yesterday received an email as well, i don’t have any problem in doing re-kyc but around 2 months back i applied for sbi cashback card and a physical kyc was done at that time so why they are asking me to do re-kyc in just 2 months?? Fyi i also hold sbi ola card which is around 8 months old

If they just need one kyc for everything, they wouldn't have been physical kyc for cashback card (Since you already got Ola SBI cc). Anyways, they must've discarded these kyc details then itself (If cashback card got rejected*) or SBI is doing it depending on your usage with a specific card variant

The requirement of applying client due diligence measures to existing clients at an interval of two/eight/ten years in respect of high/medium/low risk clients respectively, would also continue taking into account whether and when client due diligence measures have previously been undertaken and the adequacy of data obtained. Physical presence of the clients may, however, not be insisted upon at the time of such periodic updations (Ref)

Just get it done. I got re-kyc request for indusind card few months back (skipped it) and last month they sent me a message that I won't be getting reward points for transactions unless i re-do kyc

Without that it is of no use unless your entire kyc detail is somehow been flagged as suspicious by sbi system. I used to get msgs mentioning something like "we require valid kyc document of your current address for your sbi card ending 12" but I never did re-kyc because they insisted on doing only aadhaar or digilocker(which again needs aadhaar linkage) which I refuse to do. I told customer care they can do address kyc via visiting my home & taking pic of my voter id as it happened the first time before approval of my sbi card but they never sent anyone for this as kyc guy also told me they only come for doing aadhaar biometric only.

SBI is just trying to make sure that your PAN (shared at the time of application) remains valid, Ignore it!

It maybe due to your current address and aadhar address difference. Is it same.?
