However, RCom 4G will use RGSM 2G/3G as voice fall back whereas RJio will use VoLTE for voice.
any one in Hyderabad using reliance 4G? how is it ? can i get an extra sim

The only people who are having access to 4G sims are the initial trial program ones
The recent additions are the Reliance CDMA customers (Prepaid/Postpaid)
The RCom 4G SIMs given to CDMA customers are yet to be activated. They are expected to be activated by 3rd week of May. However, from yesterday, RJio has started invite based distribution. Each existing tester can invite 10 persons. Purchase of LYF handset is mandatory to received RJio 4G SIM with such invite. Users will get unlimited data/voice/sms for 3 months for Rs.200.

Using since a month now. The signal strength is the best when compared to Airtel and Idea in Hyderabad but data speeds are no different. A weird issue gives broken voices even when the signals are good. Sometimes you can neither get sms/calls nor make calls even with full signals and when you notice this happening you need to restart the phone to fix the issue.
Hope these get resolved eventually.

In comparison between Rcom and Rjio which is best ?

Do send me an invite, if possible
Can’t send any invites as I am not the owner of that account, the account belongs to my friend and only he can send out the invites.
Anyways, you guys want to buy a lyf device just for the sim? I don’t think it’s worth it. Wait for a month or two and you can avail direct sim cards I guess.
I think no need of invite ..yesterday I called Reliance Mini digital store for JIO SIM ..but they said we not selling only SIM ..buy LYF phone and get it free
I read in newspaper that they are offering 10GB/month for 99 for users moving from CDMA to 4G.Is it really started in AP?

it’s not per month. it’s only for first month
Sims are being issued but activation is still pending it seems

its not 10GB/month. Its 10GB ONCE. for postpaid, migration is free. for prepaid, migration cost depends on circle.

RJio will be working on Band 3 & 40 and with VoLTE. RCom will work on Band 5 and will not have VoLTE. Band 5 is better suited indoors as it has more penetration power. But eventually both RCom and RJio are expected to share Band 3, 5 and 40.

Somebody I know has also received a 4G SIM for his existing Reliance CDMA postpaid connection. Now he is getting calls from Reliance everyday to complete the upgrade process. He was expressing his frustration to me earlier today.
Keep us informed about what offers you get and the quality of data service in your area.
