From personal experience and also hearing what friends had to go through, If you have the money, I would also agree that this is the wisest thing to do.

Authorized service center or third-party repair, they never do a good job. They repair one problem, but when you come back home and check, they have created a new problem: the bezels are loose because they have not pasted the screen glue properly, the fitted touch screen is not working correctly because they have not tested it thoroughly before giving to you, or they have done cosmetic damage to the phone while trying to open it apart, or they forgot to connect back internal antennae wires, or they skipped to fix back all the screws they have taken out, or the phone starts overheating because they have not applied fresh thermal paste, etc and a lot more. In short, after the repair, your phone is not worth compared to what it was even while it was still broken.

That's the reason why, I prefer to buy sub 10k phones for daily use, when its time for repair / change battery get a new one without thinking twice.

Most importantly, once the phone is opened for repair or battery change, dust and mold start accumulating gradually inside the camera lens. You can't stop this. The photo quality on the most expensive phones and flagship phones is not the same anymore after the phone has been opened for repair.

Battery at official because you want it to last. Display local is great unless it's a flagship. if the panel is fine, they will only replace the glass. No need to change the entire display assembly for 7k in cases with only cracks and cosmetic damage.

If it's amoled only from service centre

Yes. Surprisingly however in some devices the OLED display can be swapped out with LCDs. It seems to be quite prevalent in SE Asia, CN & TW. They do have the option of third-party OLED displays as well which are OK quality wise. But it's a chore to find the right replacement OLED.

Local shops are a hit and a miss. Some do a repair almost flawlessly and others leave a mess. For 2k v/s 7k I recommend the official service center in case you plan to use that phone for at least one year after the repair.

First, decide whether you want to keep this mobile as a primary device or sell it. If you are willing to use your phone, always get the screen replaced at the service center. Local displays are not long-lasting and can break easily. Additionally, the display quality will be poor, and touch responsiveness may not be like the original.

Replacing amoled in any device from the service centre is a very bad idea.

Replace yourself or buy a generic A+ display and go to any nearby good engineer.
He will charge from 200-300 to replace the complete folder.

Then sell/exchange it on Fk/Amazon during sales. Investing 7000 for a device is not worth it until the present cost of the device is not more than 22k+ and the device is < 1.5 years.

From karol bagh you can find a complete folder < 1.5 to 2.5k depending on the quality you are going to pay for.

Keep in mind dont invest in a display for 7k in mohabbat with it, Choose wisely.
