So here is the thread with all answers regarding JIO free services for 90 days along with LYF handset purchase.

Q. What quality services i could expect from JIO ???
Their support is damn good.
Call quality is really cool, it was also mentioned by dimers in other threads(JIO mention it as HD Call)
Internet speeds range from 15-23 Mbps indoor and 30-50 Mbps outdoor.
Ping is 50-99ms if tested from reliable Indian servers.
Unlimited data with FUP makes this deal cool.
Free 4G data, unlimited calls, free text….
Other services include free music/movies/HD TV/magazines/news/many more which are available via different different JIO apps…
Q. Is RJIO live in my city ????
RJIO has PAN India licence however it may/may not be there in your area.
You may check the JIO network from other 4G handset with other 4G sim inserted. Just search the network, if you find the option there for RJIO, then yes then RJIO is available in your area.
Or you may call to JIO Helpcare.
Things to Remember!!!
One year warranty is already there however you may extend it to two full years via LYF Care app after entering required details within 15 days.
Extended warranty do not cover for battery, charger or accessories.
After receiving the handset, insert your sim in sim slot 1 and till when sim services/offer isn’t activated, don’t pit another sim in the handset as this may delay the activation of offer as reminded by dimers and confirmed by customer care guy
You may purchase LYF handset along with free JIO sim from nearest Reliance digital store. See the image below for supported stores.

Q. What free services attached with JIO ???
You will get free JIO sim bundled with promotional offer for 90 days from date of activation.
Promotion offer includes free calls/text/data for 90 days, yes everything free .
Within 24 hours your sim would be activated.
You will get two SMS/message on your alternate no. which you provided in the CAF form regarding SIM activation.
After you get the second message that sim is ready to be used and asking you to complete tele verification, you will start receiving JIO network on your JIO/LYF phone/sim. Do the tele-verification as told(entering last 4 digits of AADHAR Card No.)
After this your 90 days promo would be activated within 15 minutes or max 6 hours. It took 15 minutes in my case after i told JIO Care to get this activated as soon as possible.
You will also get FRC messages on JIO after unlimited offer is activated. In my case they did two FRC’s, one for 100 calls/messages and 2GB data and second with everything unlimited.
You can verify the same either by MyJIO app signup >> signin >> there you would see the offer.
Or you may call 199 from JIO phone, they will assist for that.
Q. Can we connect other devices with hotspot and free JIO Network data ???
Yes hotspot works smoothly with upto max eight users simultaneously
Q. 90 Days unlimited promo is for everyone or restricted to some users ???
Well JIO officially says you have to get an invite code from https://www.ji...m/
You will receive an email along with invite code within 15-30 minutes.
Take a printout of this email and present it before store manager while purchasing handset.
Some store managers though do not ask for invite code.
I confirmed with JIO about this issue to be on safe side, they said officially there there is no notice/information about this. They said if store manager claims this they you would definitely get the promo. On a safer side do present the invite code as getting an invite code is one minute work.
Also some managers claim that free data is restricted to 75 GB which isn’t true. Data is truly unlimited
Q. What other services i would receive along with Free Call/Text/Data ???
There are many premium apps from JIO which are free for 90 days like JIO Play for HD Live TV, JIO Mags for magazine and other. You may see all the apps in MyJIO App drawer/folder around 8-10 apps….
You can watch live TV, watch latest movies, latest magazines, local news, use JIO money…….
The login details which you created for MyJIO app would be valid across all apps except for JIO Money.
JIO Money app would provide Rs.15000 worth of coupons….
Q. Which phone/handset is recommended ???
Flame 2 is good because it offers 1GB RAM as compared to 512MB RAM in Flame 3/4/5/6.
Flame 2 is priced @ Rs.3499 for limited time after price cut.
If you have more budget shift to another series and plan accordingly.
Q. What comes with box ???
Along with handset and JIO sim, data cable, charger, earphone, screen protector and JIO guide would be there.
Q. Can i use different sim in LYF handset ???
Yes you can, infact its a dual sim phone and is unlocked to be used with any sim.
However before sim activation and offer being activated, don’t put any other sim as this may delay/lapse the 90 days promo offer.

Try this hack, this may/may not be worthy:
Only for flame 2 users as it uses Mediatek processor
First dial star#star#3646633#star#star
Then select band mode then select sim 1(if u inserted jio in sim1)>band mode>unchek band 3&5>set

As the graphics are poor on Flame 2 so Antutu score was high, more than Xiaomi Redmi 1S
Speedtests & some hacks
1/2/3 Speedtest were on Band 3

Increase your internet speed by choosing Band 40 by following the trick mentioned above.
Personal observations
Band 40 gives more speed(above 20Mbps) but high pings and
Band 3 & 5 gives slow speed(less than 15 Mbps) but low pings

Edited the process posted earlier by some dimer:
1. you submit document and pay for the handset
2. If outsider address proof then they verify at your reference number
3. you get a sms on old number that your application is received and you can tele verify your no (two diferent sms one after another)
4. insert sim in new handset and call 1977 , they will ask for last 4 digits of your id proof (automated)
– keep it ready
5. verified sms will be received on the jio number. You will also get welcome message without any offer or plan details. you may also get a jio money message.
6. then wait for the SMS on new number (save APN, recharged …..blah blah…. not meaningful). Now you can use your Jio sim. biggrin. If you dnt get the SMS with apn, call the service center number 18008899999 from diferent handset and they will help you to set the apn manually.
7. Make sure you update the s/w of phone once you are connected to the internet
8. download jio LYFcare on jio handset ONLY. use invoice details to get the extended warranty.
9. Download my jio app to any handset, register there and verify your email id as well as noified. Your jio id (same as your jio nbr) willbe activated now.
10. jio play – use jio id and password to login to view the content on any handset
11. jio money – download this app on any handset and register. This will be a separate account but with the same id. If you have provided an invite code or if it says already registered on signing up or password invalid on signing in, just reset the password. This means when you had applied for the connection your jio money account was created with default password.
12. Set data on romaing to ‘yes’. I am in mumbai and while ravelling to Pune next day after acivation of my sim it took me some time to figure why my data was not getting connecte.
13. Once you exhaust the initial 2gb, it may ake few hrs (5-6 as told by CC) to get the unlimited pack activated.

KG+, however 13. point is not valid for everyone, unlimited data is activated at the same time of SIM activation…..

How much time it take to Activate unlimited plan, over 2 GB in 3 mins getting download 8 mbps on chrome on MSDN servers. Is there any good results for Band selecting through USSD

I have been to reliance digital (Siliguri, West Bengal) and a sales guy told me that there is no unlimited calling. I’ll get only 5000 minutes for 90 days. Apart from this rest all things are unlimited. Is it true ?
P.S- I’m not using any lyf handset but will buy on 22nd or 23rdd as my broadband connection is expiring on 27th.
