There are not many optimizations for lyf snapdragon devices
For mediatek ones, we can change the 4G band [2300mhz band seems to be getting max speed, for indoors the other two low speed bands gets selected i guess automatically]
I placed my wind 6 near the window where i am getting max signal strength and using Windows 10 tether feature or the wifi extender (for saving wind 6 battery) to internet to other devices

I have been to places where i got only 3Mbps download speed, so it all depends on the location

But many stores are backlogged by a day and they face “server issues” so they keep delaying the upload process.

it shows 15 mbps download speed, but download @ 700 to 900 kbps sometimes 1mb

today i got sim,a nyone pls confirm trick is still working? i generated code thru Lenovo vibe k5 plus.. can i activate unlimited ?

@Navneet Thanks! Will surely try that trick. Knowing a thing or two about wireless signals, I can understand why that or something similar would work. Waiting eagerly for signal boosters for these Lyf phones.

Only optimisation you can do is to place your mobile on bulky metal bar in an open area(outside window)
This way i got 56-57 Mbps instead of 31 Mbps

I generally get 6-7 mbps speed indoor and approx 5-10mbps outside… (Delhi NCR)

Certain people have changed their LTE bands and have obtained higher speeds but the battery life decreases due to change in lte bands. It also depends on the signal strength of Jio. If the signal bar is full, you will get full speed i.e, 35mbps – 50mbps (varies a lot). Try to find at which point in your house, you are able to get maximum signal strength or keep it near to a window. Recently there is a lot of fluctuation in speeds, i am also able to obtain a average speed of 20mbps only for the past few days. Only while using IDM or Torrent to download files, i am able to get good speed. Check PM.

JioPlay and JioOnDemand are excellent but they consume crazy amounts of data! The best part is that I am able to use the apps in my Android emulator on the PC so I am able to watch the HD movies and shows on my big screen TV connected to the PC. I like how the Jio apps automatically detect you as long as you use the Jio tethered/hotspot connection.

@gambitrite That trick to select the 4G band did not work on my Flame 1 phone, bro.

Jio play and jio on demand are Awesome…. and YouTube most of the time

If network is fine, then around 50GB per day
Jio has lots of proxy issues, unless you have a premium vpn it feels frustrating at times
Initially i had issues with even gmail and outlook, they rectified it after some days

For PC streaming of jio apps, i use remix os installed on pen drive

I too consume a lot of bandwidth if i am free/on a holiday. Usually i download a lot of Korean, Chinese, English TV Series and Movies of all genres in any language which appeal to me and a lot of Games. Just 2 days back downloaded GTA V which was around 65gb file size and Counter strike Global offensive new version. I am not exactly sure but i have definitely crossed 1.5TB.

Sometimes it gives wrong info like if your network speed is 20Mbps it will showing only 5
If you are talking about the download speed itself then its because of poor network coverage
