Rupay credit card UPI for school fees payment

I was trying to pay my kid's school fees from their website using Rupay cc upi id which is already set up in my BHIM app. But when I entered upi pin in BHIM, transaction was declined with an error message "raise collect". Any idea what this means? My credit card online payment transaction limit is well above the fees I was trying to pay.

I think that makes sense. I think it also works if there is an option to open up the wallet app directly instead of typing in VPA.

Try with some other app.. like Paytm / Gpay. For me some rupay upi works with gpay while others work with paytm / payzapp

If I pay school fees by sbi rupay credit card upi than will I be charged any convenience charges by bank?

Somehow these kind of UPI payments where you enter VPA into the website pay link and approve on BHIM or anyother app is not working. Even IRCTC payments fail.
Is there an option of QR code generation at the time of payment on the web? If so you can.
