Savings a/c that doesn't require physical debit card mandatorily

can people here point out savings account that provides virtual debit card and not mandatory to have physical debit.

Currently I know kotak 811 does that.

I think fi is there with 0 dc issuance/maintenance charge.

Anyways some of the banks don't charge dc issuance fee/amc if you hotlist the card upon receiving.

Tested with- Indusind, HDFC.

No min bal criteria.

BoB and sbi both offer free virtual rupay cards

I think other than ICICI which requires a debit card for grid value authentication, no other bank requires customers to have a debit card. You can always request for debit card cancellation.

IMO, debit card becomes necessary for UPI activation, and net banking password reset apart from emergency cash withdrawal.

Many banks, including the mighty SBI, now offer a free virtual debit card.
