I've 2 credit cards - Ola Money & Cashback

For Ola Money CC, I've raised a complaint since more than 5-6 months now, they forfeited incorrect amount of cashback for which I gave justification several times and even after proper justification being provided, they didn't even accept they're at fault. Somehow I caught hold of them over phone call and explained in detail how they owe me back several reward points. They even agreed to credit the amount to Ola Money wallet. It's been a couple of months since this happened and I had to follow up again and again to get this done. I connected over call last week and for straight 6-7 times they disconnected my call on purpose by saying they're keeping it on hold and I was getting connected to another agent in loop. I can't even express the frustration and trauma I went through at that point, it was like an organized crime was going on. They say it's a recorded call and there won't ever be a scrutiny on this intentional disconnection of call.

For Cashback CC, they've forfeited Rs. 226 which isn't part of any SALE where I got instant discount at least in the past 3-4 months. I was asking for this justification on the same call and they were not understanding a word I was saying and ultimately disconnected the call because they didn't have an answer. To add up on the trauma, my previous statement mentioned Rs. 196 cashback will be credited and Rs. 176 has been credited. I'm unable to figure out what's going on with them and without proper communication channel, how am I even supposed to get any resolution.

For peace of mind, I'm going to close both the credit cards and probably will keep a low profile, no frills least annual fee credit card only for the purpose of availing instant discount at the time of SALE.

What has been your experience recently? Also, more importantly please let me know how and whom to highlight any issue and get sensible and assured resolution?

ekdum dil ki baat bol di, highly pathetic people who aren't even qualified for sitting at the call centre

I was telling the representative that cashback has been forfeited from Cashback CC, he started telling me benefits of Cashback CC. I literally had to shout and stop him, started narrating like a robot. I was like, chatbots are better than you as they've working brains.

Just like logistics companies have a loophole of stating irrelevant reason and delaying delivery of package, in a similar way, SBI Card support team's modus operandi is by disconnecting the call abruptly.

Isn't that portal helpful for consumer goods and services?

For financial complaints, RBI Ombudsman is the final escalation point from what I know. Will explore this portal once and see if SBI Card falls under any category.

I applied for a card in June. They still haven't issued it. They say the application number is invalid while I can go to their website and enter the application number and get OTP on my phone.

I contacted their support and they keep saying my application number is invalid. I provide them proof and they reply saying that the application number is invalid. I have set up an auto response to reply that my application number is valid.

I escalated to the nodal officer 3 weeks back. No reply.

I am thinking of going to the RBI ombudsman. Has it worked for anyone?

Go to RBI Ombudsman whenever 30 days has passed by, the turnaround time is very quick after complaining to them.

Things have worked for me after complaining to RBI Ombudsman in case of Ola Money Postpaid and Freo Pay loan account closure.

Adding to the plight, they've reduced my CL for both the CCs :

Ola Money - 1.1L to 46k
Cashback - 2L to 46k

I don't even know if that's 46k separate limit or shared limit.

Wait for a while and see. if things don't swing back to normal, better close Ola money card, they may transfer that limit to CB.

Thats why I closed the sbi card even though they told they will waive credit card fees for 1 year. There employees words cannot be trusted.

ola card give reward only in form of ola money , which can only b used in ola cabs ,which r overpriced

There was a good ecosystem to mint 7% cashback monthly but it got closed long time back. Adding Rs. 7,143 to OlaMoney wallet used to provide Rs. 500 cashback monthly.

Through OlaMoney card, a prepaid card could be used anywhere and utilize balance from OlaMoney wallet. I'll be closing this CC anyway before its annual billing cycle starts in September. Just need to sort out some pending issues and move on. Already I'll be unable to recover annual fee charged to me due to closure of the loophole.

How come SBI Card is the second largest credit card issuer in India?

I had escalated the issue over email and asked 3 different questions, got a response today over call for only one of the questions asked, rest went unanswered. The lady kept repeating I haven't used much of my credit limit, that's why SBI has full authority to decrease the credit limit. I shouted at her like anything and she disconnected the call.

As simple as that, disconnect the call, close issue from your end, send an email for feedback, that's how the whole organization is operating.

I didn't face problems as such with SBI Card since a long time but it all started from when they started introducing industry first experiments like forfeiting cashbacks which doesn't cover all scenarios and now credit limit decrease at their own will.

Fun fact, credit limit on Ola Money CC has been restored back and this is the card I haven't transacted at all since December 2022. And in Cashback CC I do transact every month, sometimes below 10k and sometimes above 10k.

I'm pissed, super pissed, don't even know how to handle all of this.

My one disputed tran. Of 15 march is still in process where TAT was 19 july. They are real bhindi k baache, illitrates are hired.... they dont have any knowledge of process or simply kaam chori ho rhi hai there is no one to watch them monitor them.

Received SMS some time back that credit limit has been restored for Cashback CC.

That customer care representative called me today only and told me about why credit limit has been decreased and a few hours later I see credit limit is restored back.

What nonsense is going around? Customer care team is not in sync with what's going around within the organization?

I've no words for all this, pagalkhane se aaye hue log baithte hain SBI Card ke call centre mei 😑

The major problem in SBI & owned companies- 

They think they are the best.

No mistake happened on their part.

They don't want to learn from their counterparts.

Only one way communication.

Focused on only short term goals.
