SBI Card spam calls for CPP

I got my replacement SBI card delivered today and after somtime I recieved a call from a mobile number +919811239689 saying that she is calling from SBI and CPP has been activated on my card. I told her I have not asked to activate then she said we cannot do anything but I can transfer your call to customer care and he will guide you then she put my call on hold and then a guy came on call and started saying CPP is activated on your card and he started asking me some file number mentioned on the card which starts with 4. I suspected this is a fraud as he is take out card number from me and I immediatly disconnected the call. My confusion is how did anyone got my details that card has been delivered to me today. Is there any involvement of courier guy in this?? Anybody got this type of call for SBI card??

called them they said apke card pe koi cpp nahi activated hai.. also this is not a new card. Its a replacement card so no point in activating after so long. This might a involvment of courier guys only since they dont know na ki my card is new or its just a replacment.

The day, I got my icici debit card delivered, I got a call from someone to activate the card and he started asking about card number… I immediately disconnected the call. These fraudsters have link with courier guys and sometime I feel bank employees also in this.
kindly report these numbers to 1909 trai spam centre. It will consume your time but at least it will get reported for others safety
22g kuch nahi karte ye log. ek baar i reported location of scam call centre along with their ips and everything to cyber cell, certin. even sent to pmo mail. kuch nahi huya. it is still running.

Yes this is a scam exact same thing happened with my sister and we almost got duped. I don’t think it’s courier guys i think someone from sbi is leaking some sort of data because they are specifically targeting people with high limit.
yeah.. last time when I recived my card then also received a similar call. That time he told that limit given to you is temperary so we need some details to get your limit approved. I said what the hell is this.. I did not give him any details. Now yesterday again got a call and that guy was so clever he said cpp worth 19500 has been activated. Later on I checked cpp plan stars from 1600 and goes till 2600. SBI guys are leaking info since never faced such incidents on any other card.
Also you can ask sbi official handle on Twitter about the number you got call from they will tell you within minutes if the number is genuine and belongs to them or not.
They spam for 15-20 days after that they wont call. Need to bide your time till then.
