First year fee waived off.
True, but if you are approved, you get virtual card instantly and use this card for SBI card deals for one year without paying anything and cancel after 11 months if not needed.
In simply (click) words, we will be saving only joining fee taxes (₹90) if we go with this offer..
Maybe they won't charge and reverse joining fee, ask CC. If charged, gst of ₹90 is not refunded generally.
This offer is to save yourself from GST punishment i wish other operators follow
In other words, 90 rupees GST Revdi is saved.
Looks like they will mass approve all applications with decent CIBIL in this promo.
Wonder what kind of limit they are giving...
@pjain2712 how much credit limit did you get? CIBIL score? Only vkyc or did they mention physical kyc later?
I'm self employed too, says I'm eligible. Yet to complete last step of selfie. Will do later.
Update: completed the Sprint on-boarding journey, accepted and got virtual card. Time taken is about 15 minutes.
Review: The Sprint framework is a bit buggy on mobile browsers. Sometimes, one cannot tap on fields and the get phone keyboard to type. Switched to desktop 2 times and used resume journey function. I'd recommend to use PC to do this and use net-banking (UPI won't work on PC) to verify bank account at last step. Transfer a selfie to PC beforehand. Be prepared to be bombarded with many OTPs during the process.
For self employed, enter organization as "Self Employed NA" Designation Choose "Self Employed" Ensure you enter correct address as in Aadhaar and preferably use the same one for current/dispatch address.
NO DOCUMENTS REQUIRED/UPLOADED. It takes all data from PAN and with Digilocker authentication of Aadhaar.
Regarding bank account verification, I suspect they use PAN/Aadhaar/Mobile no. to match with SBI if you have an account, but never ask if you have any previous SBI relationship.
At last, you are told if eligible and instant virtual card is shown with options to set usage/channels. Overall, quite short and easy process but small bugs are there. (I think they opened this offer window to mass test it)
After that, I installed SBI Card app, registered, logged in and completed their step by step guide (expect a flurry of OTPs here too). The MOST exhaustive and well developed credit card app I have ever encountered. This is an example for others.
About my card approval: I'm a self employed person, so people like us often face rejections and are considered a lower strata in terms of leads than the salaried ones. Still, applied and got approved.
My Credit Limit: about 1L, Current CIBIL: 790-800, Oldest credit history: 13yrs.
Card Type: VISA BIN: 4335 88
Again, I suspect this is a soft window for easy entry and they match if you have SBI account silently. I guess having a good balance there also matters just like good CIBIL score.
I got a very good card number sequence and might keep it after a year. Let's see...
Overall, worth a try and time to at least use it for 11 months. Thanks.
EXTRA TIP: Install SBI card app, complete the onboarding process, make ₹1000 online transaction using card within 20days and get bonus 100 RP.
@kkrulesdnation Any update?
Lol on one hand Citi is offering 5k and here sbi is offering FYF 😅. I always wonder how SBI is second highest card issuer despite no LTF cards.
Check Citi site 5k Amazon vouchers on 7500 spend in 60 days. Plus usual joining benefits depending on card variant.
@kkrulesdnation @Knight11 How about Paytm Citi card? Are rules relaxed or same stringent approval rules? Any idea?
No idea, i think if u see it in Paytm app, u can apply. I haven't seen many rejections unless u don't have 750 cibil or 21 years age.
Isn't this worse than old offer as getting Amazon voucher is better than FYF as we can try to spend 1 lac yearly.
Received and used my physical card today...
anyone using those SBI co-branded cards? fabindia, max etc?
Which is best to use for online redemption? Any one applied?
Annual Fee effectively free without spending 1Lac/year : (SimplyClick card only)
Annual fee from 2nd year : ₹499 (ignoring+₹90 gst)
You can claim Amazon ₹500/Cleartrip/BMS GV using 2000 reward points. Each RP=₹0.25 NO extra charges for redeeming these vouchers.
For 10X RP partners: Spends required is ₹20,000
OR
For other online spends 5X RP: Spends required ₹40,000
Looks like Amazon Freedom sale has SBI Card discounts:
Dimers who got new card successfully through this campaign may please share their experiences and if they got expected credit limit.
I applied for SBI Max card. Applied night and card generated morning. Aadhar through Digilocker and they asked for a photo.
it gave me " we need additional data and our representative will call you screen lol "
Maybe income docs required or not sbi account holder...
Looks like they are giving FYF+₹250 amazon voucher for all sprint applications from 1-SEP...
I thought this offer
Want a SBI card
