REVISION OF BENEFITS ON CASHBACK SBI CARD
With effect from 01 May 2023, following changes will be applicable on your
CASHBACK SBI Card:
A. Below categories will not be eligible for Cashback benefit, apart from existing exclusions:
The Merchant Category Codes are defined by the Networks and are subjected to change basis
their discretion and such changes shall be implemented basis communication from the
Networks without any requirement forintimation/information to the customers.
B. Maximum Cashback that can be earned on online & offline spends in a statement cycle will
be capped at `5000.
C. Complimentary Domestic Airport Lounge benefit will be discontinued.

No gyftr cashback shown for Uber, ola or Amazon from today
Got msg saying card approved. How can I view virtual card and it's limit ?
I bought agv on 31st from amazon... Transaction now reflected in the settled section but cashback not credited yet.
Today they forgot to update cashback for any transaction.

Yes you will get 5% on the 1k txn on sbi card, if its a proper shopping which generally gets 5%. I mean not the bill pay or other categories.
If we book on sites like Vistara, airbnb, etc. do we get 5%?
After reading all the messages and critisism of sbi Cashback card. I would say I am still happy with this card.
1. Rs.5000 cashback cap. (Means we all can still do 1 lac of online shopping per month)
2. Gift card, jewellery, utility, school payment, is actually good, misuse of card gone.
3. Lounge access gone. I literally do not mind, i am very frequent flyer and the long Q for lonunge access, quality of food is pathetic, it is like free ka langar. Only people who fly once or for show off, this free lounge is for them. It better to spend few money and seat politely at some restaurant, I always do that, and I have free unlimited access card.
So as such in my day to day online shopping and even during offer period to buy expensive mobile, this card can easily fulfill your requirements.
You can't always say GIFT card is misuse.
Assume that there is a physical store say, reliance smart&others/more/Spencer and such.
You buy an offline redeemable voucher and get 5% cashback on it. It's a genuine spend and I'd like my card to give me 5% there too.
People often don't see that aspect.
Gift cards are not always for selling and making money.

All forfeit rewards gained on instant discount transactions... get a simplyclick for instant discounts only, or even SBI IRCTC rupay card for low renewal fees.
It seems like getting the full CB is their birth right.

Why no regret? Save 5% on fuel, insurance, bills and everything.. Where else do u get such offers
- Zomato/Swiggy/Uber/Ola/Rapido/Blinkit and other day-to-day apps where others are not offering 5%
- Flight tickets booked via skyscanner (goibibo, cleartrip, agoda etc)
- Broadband / internet payments
- 3rd party shopping sites
Haven't transacted recently, but u should at least till 1st May.

You did a great by reducing all popular benefits. They were the major highlights of SBI Cashback Cards.
- Cashback Limit
- Airport Lounge benefit
- Categories eligible for Cashback
Now the only thing left to reduce is the renewal fee 999 + GST, kindly reduce it as well.
someone send a Rs. 10 online RTI ( https://rtionline.g...n/ ) to RBI/SBI (they are stakeholder in SBI cards and are govt. PSU bank)/consumer ministry /some other govt organisation to provide the mystery of this MCC code of merchants , if we dont know the merchants's MCC code at the first place as mentioned in this updated t&C how are we expected to make wise fianancial decision knowingly? or we expected to make hit and trial blind guess ? (also no where does SBI cards in even its statement/sms/email mention the particular rp/cashback earn agaisnt particular txn even axis does it ) this is anti consumer looting in broad daylight attitude and sud be reported to concerned authority

I applied for the SBI cashback card a few days back and got a call saying that the card got approved & the person will come for documents verification again and got a call for the same but no one turns up. Can someone help me with this ? status shows complete application if i choose time slot also no one is coming for pick up.
Ask for a video KYC to be arranged. I was offered physical KYC but I asked for vKYC since I can't go and submit documents where they wanted me to come.
