Exactly. That was the 1st indication of doubt. Maybe they lied so that i don't back out of the process??

Also i have SBI savings bank account since last 8years.

Yeah. Also forgot to mention Amazon pay later activated 5 months ago with 10k limit.

I called them through application number. But call went to emergency services department. So they diverted call and asking me to enter card number to talk to cc. But i don't have card number. So unable to talk to cc. I did this process 2 times. Emergency department ignoring and forwarding my call.

It's legit.

Perfios is a highly reputed authorized bank analysis tool, which nearly all major banks use internationally. You are entering your net banking credentials (of salary account in general) in Perfios which simply reads all past transactions to get a hook of your annual income and expenses and then the bank (SBI in this case), suggests the credit limit based on its algo.

Btw, that's a different thing that since you are a student, there's no chance that you will get a 1.5-6L limit, unless you keep a huge bank balance... so, the only "scam" or "fraud" that's happening with you is the false promise of the agent telling you this limit... generally you should expect a 10-20K limit in general... Even salaried employees with decent income get 1-2L in SBI... getting 1.5-6L is a bluff XD

I have SBI savings account and PPF account and I received 3L+ limit for Cashback card. So nothing fishy here I feel.

I just checked i have also received following email from [email protected] 

Dear Applicant,

This is in reference to your SBI Card application *******. Pls upload your Income Proof documents at the link provided https://www.sbicard.com/customer/#/login/82xxxxlink edited by me

After clicking on the link it is taking to same webpage that text msg redirected where i was supposed to login with NetBanking. 

SMS header looks legit. VM-SBICRD means the message came from Vodafone Mumbai message server. Although I have never seen SBI asking docs to upload so be careful or better ask SBI from Twitter about authenticity of this message.

UPDATE - After getting some authenticity from you guys, i completed the process and at received Income documents submitted message. 

Now agent visit is scheduled for kyc in the morning 8am. Will update again.

Please update, sbi agents are looking second rate even for VKyc. I have gone through the same but I went for vkyc as it was available

Update - Spoke with the cc and they said due to minimum avg balance criteria etc etc card can't be available. So no agent will be sent. Hence application lying idle as of now.

Nothing to worry about this.

I have got the customized link to upload bank statements and personalized 2 months salary to be sent to agent's personal mail ID. It got approved within 2 days with 100k limit.
