SBI credit card pulse valid on upgrade ?

Hello community,
I am holding a sbi simplyclick credit card and want to upgrade to sbi card pulse for the fitpass membership. I check on phone and the upgrade is available. However they are not sure whether joining/renewal benefits will be credited on upgrade or not. Has anyone else have a similar situation and what happens ?

Incase of SBI Credit card upgrade, the joning fee will be charged only upon completion of year on your previous card.
For example if your simplyclick card anniversary date is 15 Jan and you are upgrading your card to Pulse today then there will be no joining fee and you'll be charged for joining fee on 15 jan 24 and then only your joining benefit will be issued to you.
This is same for all card upgradation.
