Sbi general discontinues arogya plus mediclaim

Even I took it for my senior citizen parents last year..they are in process of discontinuing this plan without any notice or circular .Silently not allowing to renew the plan and offer new policy.It feels cheating though.
They promised same premium of 10500 approx lifetime but their policy is not able to live lifetime..pathetic company..why govt allows these kind of gimmicks run in insurance sector..just think about the senior citizen who took this policy just before turning 60...and now he's above 60 and most insurance companies will not even consider him.
Is there any alternative mediclaim available for affordable premium for senior citizens?

Same happened in my family too, paid insurance premium from 20yrs and didn't took even a single claim, and then when we needed claim last year, the tie up of bank and insurance company ended, and policy discontinued, had to pay full claim in cash

I was told by agent last year, that this will be discontinued by sbi very soon, so take it asap.
They won't ignore existing customers but will not allow new customers.

Update: Sbi arogya plus is back on SBI general website for renewals. I am not sure about new policies yet.If anyone knows, please post here .thanks

Finally got an official mail from sbi that they are discontinuing its arogya plus plan.
User will get a chance to switch to other policy.
Valid till october.

I can understand this pain.
I too felt helpless when national insurance did same silent closure of policy plan.
Reason provided was the claim ratio. It was at extremely higher end. I found it illogical.
In a same manner, next offered policy was 3-4x the price of previous.
