SBI Late Payment Charge due to settlement delay

Last month, I paid my SBI credit card bill in parts, but paid the full amount by the due date. But this month's bill had extra charges saying I paid late, even though I paid the full amount on time.
I talked to customer service, they mentioned that even though the payment was on time, the settlement happened after the due date and hence the charges were generated by the system, They raised a ticket to reverse the charges, but it got rejected almost immediately. I have reached out to customer care again, and they said my card is new (4 months old), so they couldn't cancel the charges. I mentioned a rule from RBI that says late fees can only be charged after 3 days, so they made a new complaint. If this also doesn't work, Should I file a complaint to RBI or consumer court?
If anyone's been through this, I'd love to hear about it.

Did you use hdfc debit card to pay the last bill, some people are saying it takes 4 days for it get settled.
If the settlement is done within the grace period, you are golden. If not, you have to take responsibility for that. If you are going to pay on due date, pay using paytm. Paytm almost immediately settles using upi.
Late payment charges If levied are also covered by paytm. Always pay atleast 5 days before the due date to avoid this headache.
follow up thru email, until u reach principal nodal officer, call and select local language(not English) and explain ur issue, mostly its sorted. Normal cc of any bank is now a days imitate bots
to earn something on these payments, we are wasting our time and efforts by taking such risks & headaches. In your case, first try to get it resolved with the sbi customer care and their nodal team itself. If it didn't work out, then escalate to RBI ombudsman another bunch of fools to try your luck.
now a days, nodal and ombudsman are behaving like postman rather than applying their own brains to interpret the rules and our concerns so I used harsh words, no offence intended.
Yes. Not just the min due, more than 90% of the total was settled before due date.
Min. Should have been settled before due date
Grace period upto 3days. If your min. was settled before due date you can raise complaint to waive off charges else completely upto sbi
The Reserve Bank of India (RBI), in its 2022 "Master Direction," announced that credit card issuers can mark an account as "Past due" to credit information agencies and charge a penalty only if the credit card remains "Past due" for over three days.
keep it up the good work.
yes you can.
but at what time of the due date you paid also depends.
Did you get it back?
