Already replied in other thread bro, all transactions on amazon gives 10x except for direct balance loading of amazonpay wallet(no reward points) & now amazon gift cards(now 5x reward points). 10x partner sites are amazon, bookmyshow, cleartrip, lenskart, dineout & netmeds site. All other online transactions will get 5x points except wallet transactions which give no points.

They should add bigbasket / Grofers also in partner sites. Lenskart people use 1/2 time a year, whereas BB / Grofers used 1/2 times a month.

It depends on commission they get from these sites I guess. Just for grocery spends though if you can manage it & spend a good amount then kotak essentia is the best card.

Even LIC right? Because on some sites biller is LIC not the website

For bigbasket grocery orders, i use indusind debit card, gives 20% instant discount.
For lic payment, i use axis ace credit card on gpay, gives 2% cb
For electric bill and recharge, i use axis ace credit card on gpay, gives 5% cb.
For amazon spends, mostly i use sbi simplyclick cc.

As long as transaction is not considered a wallet transaction(bill payments on mobikwik for example may be considered as wallet transaction) then any online transaction will give at least 5x points(1.25%). Also amazon is the only 10x site where you can pay insurance premium & there the biller will always be amazon.

Question is will it be 10× (LIC on Amazon via Sbi)
As I already have ace for 2%

Yes except for direct amazonpay wallet loading(0 points) & amazon GV (5x points/1.25%).

It should, amazon uses common payment gateway for all bill payments & members here have got 10x on insurance premium payments so lic won’t be a different case. Of course simplyclick has a 10000 reward points per month limit for 10x category(same limit also for 5x category separately) & reward points may take month in worst case scenario so if extra 0.5% is not much then better go with axis ace which gives direct statement credit.

It goes well above 1 lakh. Most of my online shopping spends revolves around amazon. So, in 1 year I am able to spend that much easily.

I don’t have this card.
My friend who have usually achieve target easily.
Mostly Amazon gives 10% off during sales and usually order for resellers. You get 500-700rs extra(if discount is 1.5k)
And remaining target u can achieve without any effort

Gift card and gold jewelry is tricky but otherwise all other transactions should give 10×. Rest all online non amazon website transactions will give 5x regardless. 10x partners are only bookmyshow, lenskart, netmeds, clear trip.

@guest_999 can help. Also gc purchase were supposed to be exempt from 10x but I still received them last time. The main problem is companies do not and will not notify of change of rules so its all a gamble.

Now if you click on “here” under “e-Shopping Rewards”—>learn more on simplyclick page on sbi card website:
https://www.sbicard.com/en/personal/credit-card...

It redirects to T&C pdf page which clearly says “I. Amazon Gift Card purchases done using SimplyCLICK SBI Card will not accrue 10X reward points.”
https://www.sbicard.com/sbi-card-en/assets/docs...
Most likely the change will be implemented from somewhere in this month or next month as I don’t remember this new changed pdf page was linked on the main page earlier(it was there earlier also but not directly linked to main page of simplyclick).

May be they are having trouble distinguishing between amazon purchases? Last time during lic payment they were all showing same mcc whether bill payment or gc purchase.

May be, though all they need to do is create a unique code for amazon gv purchase because rest of the transactions are same(excl amazonpay wallet loading).

When we make a transaction you can go to sbi website and check in the unbilled section, there they mention merchant name with some numeric codes, that’s mcc. But it doesn’t work for all merchants.

Ya it’s tricky, when I did my lic payment in two ways last time they both showed code when it was unbilled but as soon as they got settled only merchant name would show. Try buying a gc or do a bill payment and then see if it’s visible?
