Maybe but share holders of sbi card should be happy as at least now there will be some savings to offset the cashback card expenses to sbi card. smile

After discontinuation of yono cashback, was it worth using for 2.5% on amazon  for shopping?

Yes, it was, and still is. There are other affiliates too, not just the YONO.

So from Jan 2023, you need to spend 40K using SimplyCLICK on Amazon to get ₹500 gift card which is still less than its annual cost including GST.

(40000/100) = 400
400 x 5X = 2000 Reward points=₹500 gift card 🤦🏻‍♂️Then there's the ₹99 RP redemption fee.

Compare that with even 3% (non-Prime members) ICICI APay CC: ₹1200 for non-Prime, ₹2000 for Prime for 40K purchase.

With 10X on SimplyCLICK also, ICICI APay CC was winning. And it is LTF. What is SBI Cards thinking? smile

The devaluation is a bit sad. I think they are only sending this in the statements as of now. Nothing updated on the website yet,

Have you reported the issue to CC? Looks like new card number isn't mapped to card account yet. This can get auto rectified after next statement.

I only see the significant change in the OP is amazon devalued to 5X, not an issue for me. Use Millennia CC for 5% already that's agnostic whether any card offer is running or not. I got card in August and it has already paid me back several times the yearly renewal fees. With 1.25% return it covers a lot of my online needs without having ACE or FK card. Doesn't pay for wallet loads but covered by Millennia. Forex needs currently nil, but covered by OneCard if it arises. Also, no plan to run for SBI CB card now, will consider if they offer themselves later...

I have revised the above post, mostly counted as transfers, no points. Have to be very careful about merchant id. @Tron

Contra idea: They partnered well for recent FK sales... is FK coming to 10x merchants soon?

@guest_999 Yes, good observations... but I feel inspite of bug loots and such, they have a good model of flashcards and devaluation, yet this festive season results-NII will be higher due to partnerships they skipped last year but very active this year, many people spending on big-ticket purchases and paying after months...
