Hey Dimers,

I have SBI SimplyClick cc and have been using it so far.

Can anyone lemme know if it is still a good option to add money to wallets such as Apay, PayZapp Card/ Wallet, Paytm wallet etc. using my SimplyClick cc and get reward points /cb? In that case, what is the % cb and is there some other way to get more cb/reward points?

I hv to pay Electricity/ Water bills in tune of 6-10k so wanted to ask if SimplyClick is a good option to add money into wallets and then pay bills or buy Amazon gv using cc and then pay the bills?

TIA!!

Pay via AmazonPay either directly on Amazon or one of websites that accepts Amazonpay. For Amazon rewards are 10X so effectively 2.5% in the form of Amazon GVs.

One can redeem the rewards either from the app or the website. There are only 2 rewards; Amazon gift voucher worth Rs 500 and cleartrip voucher worth Rs 500. Both will cost you 2000 points. There is no redemption charge and you can redeem more than one voucher simultaneously.

From 1st of July all wallet loads will not be eligible for any reward points for sbi cards(simplyclick & most likely others too) in which case buying amazon GVs at 2.5% to add to amazon pay & then use that to pay bills will be the best option.

Yes but payzapp is not useless. You can combine 5% upto 200 with 1.25% for other online transactions of sbi simplyclick card to pay some large value electricity bill(you can pay bills on payzapp directly via linked card too).e.g. for a 5k bill you will get 200+62.5=262.5 total discount compared to buying amazon GV of 5k with 2.5%/125 discount.

So u r saying if I use my linked Sbi simplyclick directly on PayZapp i will get 262.5 on 5k instead of loading the payzapp virtual card & then paying? Because from 1st July onwards, loading payzapp wallet from sbi cc will not fetch me any points right?

Yes, you can pay directly via linked card because that will count as any online transaction & not wallet load & will be eligible for 1.25% worth reward points so you will get 200 payzapp cashback(5% upto 200)+62.5 worth reward points.

Thanks for the info man!

Also is there any other way like I have Apy ICICI card as well, will that fetch me more cb by any chance like combining offer or something?

And like whats the best combination to pay the bill (Water/Electricity) every month because Payzapp also provides cb of 200 Rs only once a month for any 1 bill?

Don’t have apay icici card so can’t say but many others here use it so if there is such a deal/offer then you will know about it by following apay/amazon offers & deals here.

People usually pay only 1 electricity bill per month so for that payzapp is good enough but you can always install payzapp in some other friend/relative mobile & link it with another card if planning on paying more than 1 bill per month(200 is max cashback but it is not limited to once a month. you can pay multiple bills but total max cashback won’t exceed 200 in a month using 5% upto 200 BILLPAY promo code). Using same card or pan with another payzapp acc is also not possible as any cashback limit is based on these 2 factors so best option is to install payzapp on friends/relatives mobiles using their pan numbers & cards & then pay bills after deciding accordingly.

So suppose if I do the above, the 5% cb of Rs 200 will go to the separate cc linked or will it go the Prepaid virtual Payzapp card on my relative’s device?

And if latter is true , can I send the cb received on my relative’s payzapp card to my payapp card? Any way there?

The 5% upto 200 cb will go to the payzapp card of the account used for paying bill & reward points will go to the card used for making the payment on that payzapp account. No point in transferring cb from payzapp acc because that can only be done for full kyc payzapp acc(needs hdfc bank acc) plus it charges ~4-5% so it will be a loss anyway so it is better to use the payzapp cb in that same acc where it was received(you can always do a dth recharge of 100).

If you have a decent salary & cibil score then you can easily get sbi simplyclick card. If you don’t have a salary or cibil score(never owned any credit card before or took any loan in your name) then only option is to get the card against FD by visiting a sbi branch.

I applied for this card in Big Bazar through agent but you can also get it against FD. Just enquire for the same in your branch

No, card against FD can only be applied at branch. You can apply online for a regular credit card but it will require you to submit income proof or you must have some other credit card statement with at least 3-4 months of history in your name to upload.

@guest_999 Since wallet load transaction points for SBI SimplyClik is not going to be from 1st July..will it be a good move to add money to PayZapp wallet in advance for next month & then pay? Will that fetch more rp on my card or will it be the same if I dont use payzapp virtual card/wallet and use the linked SBI card instead?

You will not get any specific benefit from using payzapp card for bill payment plus you can’t use payzapp card for qr code scan payments so it is better to load money in paytm wallet balance which is accepted at most shops for scan & pay. For payzapp just use your linked sbi simplyclick card for any bill payment & recharge & you will get 1.25% reward points for doing online transactions+payzapp promo code cashback.
