Scam by BoAt (provided faulty replacement)

Dear Community,

I'm in need of some advice and support regarding a frustrating situation I've encountered with Boat, a brand known for its audio products.

Here's what happened: A while back, I experienced issues with my Boat Airdopes 172  earbuds. Thankfully, the product was still under warranty, so I reached out to Boat's customer service and successfully arranged for a replacement. The replacement got delivered after the warranty had expired.

However, the replacement unit I received has now developed its own set of problems. Specifically, the left earbud has stopped working entirely and refuses to charge, while the right one is functioning fine. Unfortunately, this issue emerged after the warranty had expired, leaving me in a bind.

Despite my attempts to explain the situation and request assistance within the original warranty claim, Boat's customer service has informed me that they cannot provide further assistance due to the warranty expiration.

Needless to say, I'm incredibly disappointed by this turn of events. As a loyal customer, I expected Boat to stand by their products and provide support when needed, regardless of warranty status.

I'm reaching out to this forum in the hopes of finding advice, support, or perhaps connecting with others who have experienced similar challenges with Boat's warranty and customer service.

Can this be raised in any consumer Portal, if yes, please guide me.

Also, If anyone has insights into how I might resolve this issue or has encountered similar situations with Boat, I would greatly appreciate your input. Thank you for taking the time to read through my post. Your support means a lot.

earbuds of all these companies are a big scam.

As soon as the warranty ends, the earbuds become kind of dead.

Same with my oneplus earbuds pro.

The worst thing is the replacement looked brand new and stopped working within a few days, these companies know what they're doing I feel.

boat doing frauds with replacement for everyone who r claiming warranty online while there is no fraud if u visit a boat service center, now i agree a fraud is fraud and they r definitely doing this at large scale but if anyone in future wants to claim boat warranty just travel 10-20km and go to service center

It's high time to Stop using boat products now. They have started to use cheap products which hardly last for 1 year.

Similar thing happened with me with boat 255 neo. It worked fine for about year and after that left ear stopped working when only 10 days were left in warranty. They replaced the product and sent new neckband which seal packed. I used it for fews days and strangely after 15 days both sides stopped working. Although it is charging and connecting well. But because of no audio not of use anymore. It's strange that how can brand new neckband stop working in just 15 days

Nothing can be done after warranty expired. Buying ear buds beyond ₹1000 is a waste. Whichever brand it is, high chance of malfunctioning.
