I am holding HDFC bank from some 1439 levels and felt like booking it on 1555. Getting Around 6-7% in 3 months.

How do you guys decide to hold for long term or book in swing?

The future doesn't look very promising for the HDFC stock.

A little less than 1% of my portfolio is invested in HDFC bank stock. In my view the stock price is range bound and not in a definite uptrend. Chances are low that it will give a handsome return in the coming months.

My verified PL from 1 account for the last 360 days showing my realized profit/loss.

You have invested in HDFC because you know that the fundamentals are strong.

However buying and selling depends upon price action, i.e. the chart.

If you are not much acquainted with charts yet, then I would suggest to start with buy a stock when it is oversold and sell when it is over bought. You can track this through various indicators, one such indicator is RSI.
