Smart TV not showing old school Cinematic feeling picture quailty

Hi,
I recently got a 55" Redmi Smart TV and upon trying to watch a movie, there’s this weird feeling to the quality of picture, it looks as if the characters are acting live. I want the old school cinematic feel of the picture. Any solution?

Watch some old movies (from 70s) n see if you still get the same impression or not.
if you are watching popular english movie try criterion refixed movies. Best of best.
Mi is basically Mi they don’t make value for money products but you get what you spend products.

Exactly. Search online for best settings per usecase. Switch off any vivid colors, motionflow, cinemamotion etc.
They sound like performance boosters, but these settings actually make your TV look worse, no matter what model you own
is this coz of the format in which new movies / serials / web series are shot on modern day cameras
You can’t get same quality which branded TV offer’s with these type of brands.
BTW is there FPS settings on your TV, and is this same with HD content also or you are talking about SD.
It is called as soap opera effect.Try turning off the motion blur or play with video settings.Im not sure what is the setting for MI.Even in Samsung and Sony same thing happens.
55inch Redmi tv has an inherent issue. It comes with default backlight set at 100. If it is reduced to anything below 90 there are visible wave lines on the screen. Specially visible in blue or grey background. I got exactly same issue on 2 replacement and finally took a refund.

is this issue with all the recent smart Tvs be it LG samsung Mi etc
Sell it, buy Sony or Samsung or LG for that feel
These Chinese maal even OnePlus won’t give such feel
