Speed Post lost my parcel

I did speed post on 02/04/24 to Bombay Upstox office for tranmission of shares. I thought speed post is quite reliable service. But to my surprise, on their website since 08/04/24 it was sawing insufficient address & parcel not delivered. I contacted them on twitter, I sent them google map location & asked question that If simple google map can find the location, how come ur employee didn't find it.
Then today they replied "We are unable to trace ur parcel, u can contact nearby post office for compensation". !!!
The documents which i sent them had notarized matter on 600rs. stamp paper. Now due to them i need to undergo entire process again & spend 1000rs. money again.
Anyone faced similar problem? What can be done ? I wrote them that i don't want compensation. Either send my parcel to destination else return back. Let's see what they do reply. But now I don't have much hope from them.

Raise issue on PGPortal. However if the post is truly lost then nothing can be done.
Registrars involved in nullifying old (lost) share certificates and issuing new ones.. take their own sweet time and there is usual red-tape too.
If you have not faced such a loss, as described above, then consider yourselves blessed.
The contract of carriage is very clear here.
The remuneration to the carrier has to be paid upfront, prior to them fulfilling their end of the deal.
If consignor chose not to have the goods insured, then the only remedy available in case of loss of goods is if the carrier had committed to reimburse a fixed amount or pro-rate amount based on weight, category or other parameters.
In case of jettisoning the goods (say to save the airship or ocean liner) mostly even that reimbursement is unavailable, under law, from the cargo carrier.
As for your options,
if the consignee or anyone else on your behalf xan approach the local office at the destination (as suggested by the cargo carrier) then perhaps the local staff can empathise and help backtrace/ backtrack ir.
If found, well and good.
If not, then you should ideally take secondary action to ensure that your liabilities are mitigated, in case those documents with original signatures or other details and possibly identity proofs fall into wrong hands, get misused.
IPS cannot really be taken to task even by taking this up in a consumer fora, as various carriers have operational immunity if they can prove it was not wilful neglect or rather if the plaintiff (you) can prove there was gross negligence tantamount to fraud.
Strange that it has such bad reviews & I am not aware about it else i would have definitely send it via private courier. lesson well learnt.
On a second thought - In January i sent speed post from same place for very very important document of 7kg (Checked exam Supplementary of medical students). After all these comments I thought to check whether it has reached to destination or not & speed post site is saying "Consignment details not found." (I Don't know till how much time speed post site keeps record for consignment)😃
All of those students must be now in next year of MBBS (With or without actual marks that I don't know. Only speed post can answer it !!)

I have never lost speedpost or registered parcels sent by India post. It's very unfortunate. You should have gone for insured parcel service.

It's very rare situation when something like this happens. And this is not only limited to the India Post, this can happen with any courier company bro.
There are plenty of reason behind this. As we don't use it regularly we don't know about it.
Just check what you are getting as a compensation and move on.
