LG inverters are the best. I have 3 of them. If you want to save money then brands like Sanyo and TCL are fine as well.
What about Motorola AC …..Any Reviews

LG 5 star are too costly, around 43-45k.

Yes but well worth it.

5 star and 4 star.
You can’t generalise consumption as it depends on the size of room, outside temperature, AC set temperature, sun or shade etc. For my bedroom the 1 ton LG is 5 stars, I set it to 30 (sometimes 29 during monsoon or when it is less hot) and it consumes less than 1KWh per night of usage except during very hot periods when it might consume around 1.5 to 2. For the drawing room which is very large and sunny, I have 2 4 star LG hot and cold units. I normally run one at a time and again set it to 30. For a full day of usage from around 10am to midnight, it would consume around 3 units during less hot times and upto 8 or 9 units during very hot days.

hiw much of a difference can i expect if i purchase 3 star vs 5 star in terms of electricity consumption ?

About 10 to 15%. .It is not very significant. If the price difference is 2 to 4k then go for 5 star. If the difference is more then 3 star is ok unless it will be used a lot.
….well usual suspects….o general ( high price )…blue star…daikin…
….i am not a big fan of samsung ac…but must check samsung windfree ac…there are certain unique features in it..
