I am confused which is better to store data? The stored data is also used weekly but SSD like speeds are not required. Example: I store songs, movies and then weekly I also listen to songs.
Which will last longer SSD or HDD?.

Sorry, price not same, deleted that senence.
Since storage is primary aim
Go for HDD.
It will last longer than SSD
for backup I will always go with HDD. the bigger storage you buy the cheaper it gets per TB. also external ones are cheaper than internal ones, if you explicitly need internal ones then buy external and shuck it.

Do you think a 4/5 TB HDD India & US price difference will be more than 3k?
Or Indian Diwali sales + 10% HDFC discount usually comes at same price as US deals?
Go for HDD over SSD due to multiple reasons:
- HDD is cheaper
- HDD is reliable over SSD over time. SSD is charge based, it starts losing data after a year to two when it starts leaking charge when not connected to a source
- HDD has longer lifspan
For your purposes HDD seems more suitable. They are relatively cheaper than SSDs so you can buy multiple Hard drives and store multiple copies of your data which reduces chances of potential data loss.
HDDs most of the time give you enough hint before its about to fail which in turn gives you sufficient time for taking backup & arranging replacement of the disk. OTOH, SSDs can surprise you one fine morning.
Though when it comes to read/write speed HDDs are no match for SSD. In general you can say that SSDs are more suited to be your OS/boot drive and for storage its HDDs.
HDD with high capacity will be the best to store media files like movies or songs. SDD with high capacity are bit costly so avoid it to purchase if you’re not into gaming.
SSD is totally unneeded for backup of movies.
Go for HDDs.
Go for SSD as you mentioned the prices are almost same.
